Rowing my first half marathon was definitely Type II Fun!!!!
I like to think of myself as an endurance athlete. I’ve done a few Ironmans (140.6 & 70.3), several ultras (50k-100 miles) and I even ran 200 miles as a fundraiser. Next week I’m going to be hiking 100 miles with some other veterans to raise money for PTSD awareness with an Team Semper Fi. I guess you can say I really dig spending time in my personal pain cave. A few months ago got a C2 and it’s been a journey! I really enjoy rowing and it’s a killer workout. Up until a few days ago my longest row was like 45 minutes or so. On Tuesday (5/30) i set my rower up on the driveway and I attempted and completed my first half marathon row! It was definitely a challenge and after the first 30 min I got into a good groove mentally. My initial thought was like woah I have a lot to do and a long way to go but once I settled into a rhythm it was really enjoyable. After the initial 30 min I began to chunk it into small portions of time. My next goal was at the 45 min mark. I just kept telling myself I’m 50% done and then 15 min later I was an hour deep. At the hour mark I was like now I’m 66% done and I only have 30 min to go! The last 30 min was solid and every min that went passed I was like oh just one less to go! My final 2500 meters were kinda a struggle, mentally and physically. I felt soooo close yet so far at the same time. I was chunking into small distances of 500 meters and then when I was about 1500 left I was chunking into small 100 meter clips. Eventually it came to an end and I was done! During this row I wore my ultimate direction hydration vest with a 3L water bladder. I also had a water bottle with GU mix and tons of snacks. I had candied ginger, peanut butter and raisins on crackers, and a few dates. I would eat every 10 minutes and it really helped with the boredom and gave me something to look forward to. I also set up a speaker and listened to Killing Kryptonite: Destroy What Steals Your Strength by John Bevere. He’s an amazing Christian author with an amazing ministry. I would recommend checking out anything he has written! After my row I got up and my legs felt like jello and my core was on fire!! The the next two days my abs were so sore. It was a great feeling and it was 100% Type II Fun!! I feel like a did a good job and averaged 2:10/500m and I’m excited to eventually do a 25k row and on to a full marathon row. I love the C2 and it’s been a great addition to my ultrarunning and triathlon training. Thanks for reading and have a great day!! God Bless!!!

I’m a 27 year old male. 6’ tall and i weight 235lbs. Former smoker. I take adderall for adhd. I woke up this morning with a full stomach ache. Went about my morning normally, as a former smoker sometimes since quitting my stomach just doesn’t feel right in the morning. Ate some crackers to have something in my stomach to take my medication. Began feeling nauseous soon after which is very unusual as I’ve been taking my medication for over a year now. I also had a reduced appetite last night. I ate some peanut butter thinking maybe I needed a little more food this morning. That helped mainly by just delaying the nausea. About 15 minutes later began having severe stomach pains above my navel through the right side of my stomach. I’ve thrown up twice since. Nausea is gone and I haven’t eaten or drank anything in the last hour but constant dull pain on right side accompanied by more severe pain extending from above navel to right side.

Episode 6:
Spirits of The Frozen Forest:
It begins in the Early Jurassic with a cynodont in the darkness at the waters edge when it is eaten a large amphibian the next the day the sun rises awakening ornithischian colony living in the darkness for many months they leave and are grazing on some ferns a herd of Glaciasaurus come to graze and feed together with their symbiotic Dimorphodon buddies. Several panther like cynodonts come out and relax in the summer sun with the ornithischians when they are stalked by a large Cryolophosaurus which manages to kill one Glaciasaurus but nothing else.
The cynodonts are revealed to have a littler of pups which the cynodonts care for and need nutrients for them so the female leaves to find the ornithischian's clans burrows but are scared off when they throw their litter at her the next day a small group of cryolophosaurus young discover the nest and the cynodonts have to move away holding their young in their jaws.
The colonies eggs hatch during the months of darkness and the mothers have to venture out in the dark and the gloom one stops to drink at the waters edge but is killed by an amphibian which was awoken by the chirps. At dawn the group leave to feed with one guarding the burrows and under the cover of darkness they find enough bedding to keep them warm when a pterosaur lets out a warning cry which scares them off the pterosaur then eats the bedding and takes the rest to its chicks. When the sun finally rises a herd of primitive sauropods moves into the area but thanks to their loud noises they interrupt the colony from watching for predators and so a cryolophosaurus kills one and leaves this scares several of the young to the waters edge where the newly awakened water killer attacks and misses with the young being found by their parents and sleep in their burrows safe for now.
Episode 7
New Blood:
The episode begins with a herd of Placerias wading through a large body of water in their desert/ forest home where several are killed by several phytosaurs. The blood pours downstream to a hunting Lilliensternus hunting for lung fish near some trees by a sleeping Desmatosuchus half submerged like a hippo which awakes to the blood and storms off scaring the lungfish. it wiggles its arms in frustration and moves back to its forest home where it comes across a group of hatchling Burolestes (which are noticed as being out of place) and our plucky dinosaur hunts them all apart from one little one that escapes through a tunnel in the ground which was occupied by a small cynodont that has mysteriously left while the dinosaur feasts on the corpses it comes across a pterosaur feasting on some corpses our protagonist kills it chases it away in frustration.
Out in the outskirts of the forest a large corpse with no head or legs or a tail lies in a field of hatching little creatures (that are prosauropods but are only called juveniles) the large corpse in their hatching fields attracts some dinosaurs and the apex predator a female Smok comes and scares the dinosaurs and eats some of the prosauropods but most manage to escape but some are killed by the dinosaurs. A couple years go and the little prosauropods have formed little creche's and are stuck together grazing in a gorge where several cynodonts growl at them menacingly and pterosaurs fly above hunting insects a desmatosuchus sleeping to the side and a Smok coming through the only entrance the prosauropods panic and run towards the Desmatosuchus which while waving its tail kills a prosauropod but also scares the Smok who is content to feast on the carcasses. Several scavenging dinosaurs come across the carrion after the smok is done with it and feast on its remains. The next day the prosauropods exit the gorge and go out to the not forest where a herd of placerias are grazing. The Placerias are eating stones and digging large holes in the ground where they are laying their eggs but small burolestes are sneaking in and laying their eggs in some of the holes to provide their young with a meal when they hatch, the Placerias are shown to live in mega herds as a very successful species with two males fighting over a part of the mega herd one loses and takes its anger out on the prosauropods and kills one and they retreat to the other side of the river. The dry season occurs and most dinosaurs and creatures are killed during a sand storm including all of the mega herd apart from two isolated pockets of only five individuals the survivors like some dinosaurs five of the remaining prosauropods, Smok and the cynodonts and the living desmatosuchus eat the carrion for extra nutrition.
The Smok starved but sane attacks a Desmatosuchus and has its right leg injured it then a few weeks later hunts the last Placerias in the area and has its second leg torn out and it lies there bleeding on the floor she is eaten by a flock of dinosaurs which sanely stay out of the way until it stops moving by the end of the dry season all of the remaining Placerias, phytosaurs, Smok's and Desmatosuchus are bones the dinosaurs and the two surviving prosauropods and cynodonts are the lucky ones that survived the disaster it ends with the prosauropods being revealed as Plateosaurus as a large sane herd of them come by the area to feast on the new plants as all the grazers were killed weeks ago.
Special Episode 8: The Old Doe
The episode begins in the Triassic showing a herd of lystrosaurus being hunted by a mysterious predator when a little lizard like creature hops onto the screen and scavenges from the corpses it then suddenly evolves into a mysterious dinosaur that evolves into a Lambeosaurus male walking through his swampy water home and returns to his home herd of parasaurolophus and Lambeosaurus and Styracosaurus, the Styracosaurus are lead by the strongest individual in this case an old doe with so many scars her skin is most red she steps away from her nest to sip water to instead discover blood dripping out from a re opened wound while she drinks three rowdy young males from a different herd come and challenge hers she attempts to subdue them and manages to accidentally kill one but thanks to there being two they manage to injure her so much she runs away being stalked by a pack of Daspletosaurus but she fends them off.
The old doe stumbles her way to another herd with an old buck as the leader who lets her into the herd she relaxes in the river and watches as a herd of Struthiomimus walk on the banks teaching their young how to swim if any danger is nearby. Back at the old herd a group of Dromaeosaurus feast on the old does eggs and hatchlings. A month passes by and mating season begins with the Parasaurolophus doing their peaceful displays, the Chasmosaurus flushing blood into their frills and the Pachyrhinosaurus ramming into each others heads. The Old Doe at her new herd takes care of her last batch of eggs and hatchlings with red frills from the Old Buck and watches as her old herd comes through with the two males being extremely scarred and weak from challenges by the other Styracosaurus and them foolishly attacking Centrosaurus herds for feeding grounds. The Old Buck holds his ground and manages to kill another one of the styracosaurus males the male runs away and stays in outskirts of the herd waiting for a weakness to exploit.
The breeding season concludes with a flash flood which kills the old Buck and half of the herd and many of the nearby creatures like the scavengers which are killed in the second flash flood. The herd manages to pull through and the Old Doe becomes the leader of the herd but the rowdy male challenges her band this time the doe wins and leaves him for the local Daspletosaurus who teach their young how to kill things. The Styracosaurus then has a mud bath and we conclude with Daspletosaurus evolving into a T Rex (65 MYA) which watches as a herd of Triceratops relax and their young play together in the same spot a bloodshed happened 10 million years before. The credits play off and it ends with how it began following a herd of edmontosaurus the same one from episode 1.

Advice
I need advice. So my pup is 7 months now. For now we have been doing everything ourselves. Every 2 week showers, nail trims, brushing every couple days. And cutting his hair as well. (We did probably 5 times by now) We usually use the machine we bought to cut dog’s fur and face with regular and thinning scissors. He’s doing quite well with scissors and the machine. Doesn’t like baths but it’s Manageable. Hates nail trims but some peanut butter for licking helps.
He’s a cockapoo (75% poodle) I can’t really afford taking him to groomer every 6 weeks in NYC. Prices are crazy here.
I was wondering would it be okay to start taking him to groomer maybe every 4 months ? And I’d keep doing what I do in between. Now couple questions:
  • are groomers okay with that type of set up ?
  • please any advices that I should know regarding grooming him myself. Any products you recommend ?

I just wanted to share my meal plan and workout with anyone looking for some inspiration! I have always struggled with my weight and finally found something sustainable that I think I can manage long term. If you have any comments are suggestions please let me know :)
I usually start my mornings with water and coffee + soymilk + stevia until I start to feel hungry around 11am. I eat two meals a day + a protein smoothie and no snacks, but I can eat whatever I like in those two meals.
Meal 1: Whatever I feel like. Usually two big slices of sourdough bread with either smashed avocado, or hummus + cucumber, or peanut butter + banana. Sometimes I'll do a veggie/cheese panini with salad, or a bagel with cream cheese + veggies and dip.
Meal 2: Protein smoothie. 1 cup of unsweetened soymilk (it has 8 grams of protein), 1 cup frozen berries, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder.
Meal 3: Again, whatever I feel like. I eat a lot of pasta with veggies and cheese, flatbread veggie pizza, vegetable stir-fry with beans, black bean burgers and salad.

I workout 5 days a week for 45-50 minutes.
Monday: 15 minutes of cardio + full body strength
Tuesday: 45 minutes cardio
Wednesday: 15 minutes cardio + full body strength
Thursday: 45 minutes cardio
Friday: 15 minutes cardio + full body strength

For the past 7 years I've been struggling with stomach issues. I've had anxiety and panic disorder along with ocd intrusive thoughts since I was a child. About 7 years ago I got a candida overgrowth which I couldn't take antibiotics due to the fact I'm allergic to them. I get a flair up every 6 months or so which brings all kinds of symptoms and despair. Well 5 weeks ago I decided to change all of that and started a very low carb diet which consisted on lean meats, berries, sardines, and asparagus and rice for these were the only foods I could digest. I started to notice the berries and almonds were not agreeing with my stomach and I'm sure the rice 1 cup a day was not helping either. The past 2 weeks I switched to a very strict carnivore diet. Meat, eggs, salt and water. I did have cheese once and learned my lesson from that for I was feeling so much better I thought I could tolerate it not remembering how my gut reacts to dairy. I was cooking with olive oil and started reading more that carnivores cook and eat butter so I fell into line. But I noticing that now that I'm using butter to cook, and actually ate some by itself last night my stomach issues are out of control. I think I transitioned don't think I have the keto flu and I've had diareaha my whole life so I'm ok with it now, but this is way out of the norm. My bowels waking me up at night to poop and all day long. This wasn't happening b4 I introduced the butter. Like alot of good people here I'm suffering again and all the benefits I had gotten are now leaving, and I've come to a lost state again in my daily life. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated for I am giving up hope. Thank you

Training:
Training had been consistent throughout with the last few 32km runs feeling good! There was no issue with fuelling and pace for all three 32km runs sat around the 7:52 mark. With the training I had set to taking SIS gels on every 5km and sipping either water or an energy drink 3km after that. This was done throughout. With a goal of a sub 3:30 mara I was relatively confident that this could be done, if not quicker... it wasn't to be!
Pre-race:
Didn't sleep too well the night before getting to bed around 2200. Had eaten fairly low fibre throughout the week which consisted of high carbs (rice, pasta etc) and protein, however I think that looking ahead some more fibre would have done me well. Some food for thought. Dinner the night before consisted of a chicken breast and rice however in hindsight some additional calories may have been a bonus as we would find out. After an earl-ish wake with some porridge, peanut butter and coffee we travelled on the 0705 train to Edinburgh from Leuchars. A really easy journey ahead of the day. We found a seat next to a man who was on the production team for BBC's Big Weekend and managed to relax into the 1:30 journey. Sipped through a bottle of Lucozade Sport but could possibly have done with some more liquid here. Arrival at Edinburgh was chaotic with runners flooding the station but managed to find a rogue banana in M&S and wolfed it down before joining the huge queue to the loo's near the startline. Luckily word was passed down the line that the urinals was clearing so I managed to skip the queue to get a quick wee in before kick off at 10:00. As this acted as a 'training run' for July's 100km 'Race to the Stones' I wore a vest which held the days nutrition (around 6 SIS gels and a pack of Clif Bloks) and liquids (x1 500ml watex1 500ml High5 Zero Tab). A quick warm up with help of a theragun and I moved into place where the 'red' and 'yellow' sections met; My thinking being that I could get held up if I were to position myself towards the rear this may hold my up given the downhill sections of the run; this was the first of the many errors to come.
Race:

Race kicked off on the dot of 10:00 with around a minute before crossing the start line itself. As expected it was a quick start. I had been warned not to go too fast out the gates but was not prepared the swarms of people pushing down the steep roads. I had endeavoured not to go quicker than a 7:40 pace per mile but found myself pushing it a bit much at the start and tried to rein it in. Pacing was all over the place at this stage and there was little consistency. Possibly due to the terrain and the feeling of being 'pushed ahead' but I definitely found myself being overtaken by more people than I would take myself - likely due to my poor positioning at the start.
My HR seemed ok with it at the 150 mark (avg resting HR is around 38bpm) however I began to notice it slowly creeping up. It was at the 10km mark that I started to think that this could be a long day ahead as I managed 10km in around 48mins. I hadn't quite hit the rhythm I was used to and now out of town where the crowds disappeared apart from the odd family, it felt odd to be on course. A mistake here was to to avoid the aid stations. I was cautious to avoid the High5 gels due to the concern of having not trained with them however it was a mistake to have not taken more water when offered as I would find out.
Where my fueling technique had worked in the past I was finding it tricky to keep the momentum. Error number 2. Or 3. Or 4? As the heat increased from around 15 degrees to 18 things seemed tougher than expected at around the 25km point. I was now well aware that I had gone out too fast as my HR was now into the late 160's and low 170's. This is where it stayed for the rest of the race creeping up and staying at around 177. As we approached the 30km point there was a turnaround point which was gravel which was harder than expected given the change in terrain. At this point however each slight incline began to feel like a slog and it began to look like the sub 3:30 would take a serious effort.
I began to realize that I would need more fuel and in taking more on another gel I managed to drop the 4/5 remaining Clif Bloks and stupidly chose not to take the time to pick them up. Another error. I really began to fade at around the 35km mark however by the time I hit the 39km mark I was cooked. After waving to get the attention of my Dad who was spectating this turned out to be a random bystander and I was starting to hallucinate. My energy had completely gone and I was in trouble. I tried to keep running but had to stop, making it almost impossible to then restart. I could barely speak now and despite the continued support of the crowds which had began to grow as we got towards the finish line, felt my eyes start to close and my body want to give in. By this stage I had passed the 3:30 time and just wanted to get across the line before the 4:00 mark.
I managed to creep around the corner at the end and crossed the line. I was directed to the med tent just to the left of the finish line and collapsed onto the floor. HR all over the place, no energy and a time of 3:46 I was more thrilled that I had finished than anything.
Post-race: Having dragged myself off the med tent floor I managed to make it down to the exit area and grab some water for the salt tabs that were being given out with the race t-shirt/medal I slowly began to feel alive again. A few more salt tabs and the relief of having finished made things slightly better. A sip of a shandy and a boost bar and I started to gain some energy, however my stomach was in pieces. This was to continue with a lack of motion in the ocean for the following 3 days...
A few learning points: Self-selection at the start line was poor. Pace discipline was evident. HR was all over the place and should have been a considering factor. On course nutrition could have been better. Poor pre-race nutrition may have added to the lack of energy? Overall a long day in the office.

-Creamsicle Floats: Handful of these left before they run out indefinitely. As some has requested in the past, these ARE in fact higher pitch sounding than then NEONs switches, but not as loud in volume by comparison. As a reference these sounds like dense marbles clashing against each other. With the use of RO59, you have a switch that is extremely smooth while being extremely high pitch without sounding dull due to the used of milky tops and NK V1 stems to balance the thin sounding property of UHMWPE in the tangie housing.
-Tfue Creams: Jokes aside this was what the NK Creams should have been when they were first popularized back in 2020. These are by defaut broken in 2 mil actuations, mounted with max layers of Ro59 and optionally topped off with a thin layer of GHv4 and spring swapped to your preferred single stage long springs. For those seeking that endgame all POM experience, we've pulled out all the stops to 180deg the sandpaper feel to the slickest feeling switch out there. Experience Ro59 at its best.
-Cherry Azurite BCP: Features a Hyperglide top + Zaku stem + SP-star Meteor White V3 bottom. One of the loudest, thick sounding and clacky sounding frankenswitch. The V3 has been revised to sound clackier profile compared to the grey housings found on the V2 (what they are popularly known for). Not all nylon plastics are made equally as different manufacturers uses different blends when it comes to generally coined plastics such as nylon. Something about SP-stars' rendition, combined with a Zaku stem and the classic Cherry top just hits the spot for those wanting a loud pop.
-Yok Holy Pandas: We'll be adding these to our repertoire as we've seen a massive improvement in smoothness and sound that these do benefit from dry lubing. We do not offer Drop's Holy Pandas as they have issues with inconsistent factory lubing (not applicable in this case) and they have extremely pingy leaves. In addition, a few of the switches per batch runs into double registering issues due to bad QC on the leaves. These will handcrafted using BSUN/YOK housings with Drop Halo/Kailh Polia stems. We'll be assembling these > breaking them in > ultrasonic cleaning them > dry lubing > reassembling.

Hey everyone! Me and my partner are looking to start the carnivore diet obviously lol
We’re doing as much research as possible and have spoken to family and friends who are doing the diet or a similar one, animal based etc. so don’t want to sound silly in the questions we’re asking.
There’s just a couple of things wanted to ask before we started to make sure we understand the parts that aren’t making full sense to us right now so all the help would be amazing!
My questions are:
  1. Im very lucky that my family own a small holding farm so I have access to this. I can get access to beef, pork, chicken, lamb and eggs. All organs and bones too. Which of these are the best to be consuming the most of and daily?
  2. I currently drink 4 UK pints of water a day. Would this change? Or is it just as much as you feel you should drink?
  3. I don’t think this question is relevant but I saw something about fasting? Is that something we need to do or do we just eat when hungry and don’t when not?
  4. Are there different salt types we should have, like a selection? And use them throughout the day?
  5. I’ve noticed people saying that the meat should be as fatty as possible and that some people feel lethargic sometimes and that’s due to not eating enough fat. If this is the case, should we be eating as much fat as possible during meals?
  6. When frying the meat, I’ve seen some people say to add fat in after cooking, even if the meat is cooked in butter or tallow, is this always necessary?
  7. I’ve seen things about histamines when cooking, is this to be avoided and if so how do you do so?
  8. Last question. Is there any difference in using salted or unsalted butter, other than the salt obviously lol as will be adding it either way?

It's Thursday. I got wrapped up in playing Diablo and forgot to take a nap before work. I'm on an egg fast(6 eggs with 6 tbsp of butter and an ounce of cheese twice a day) so I can't buy a bit of ice cream to power through the night. And the hotel is filled with a bunch of kids who were apparently given coffee or something, because they won't go the hell to sleep.
So my night hasn't been great. How about you?
But this tale isn't about tonight. Not my part in it, anyway. The fallout happened today though. But for now, a musical interlude.
There are those who think that life
Has nothing left to chance
With a host of holy horrors
To direct our aimless dance
Our cast includes Me, Booking Agent(BA), Coworkers(CW1/2) and the star of our little tale, Karen, Mistress of the Self Frag(K).
Last night was fairly slow. I'm working on figuring out what my PC in our tabletop campaign is gonna do next session(she failed really hard in some combats due to bad dice after a kid she's kinda looking out for asked for her to teach him to fight better, so that's gonna be a morose conversation later). And then I get a call and give my Standard Hotel Greeting.
K: "Hi, yeah. So I have a reservation under Karen McCustomer for arriving tonight, but due to some issues, I won't be making it in tonight. I still need the room for Thursday night though. Any way I can cancel the first night but keep the second?"
Me: "Let me take a look at that for you."
I load up her reservation and... uh oh. I have to give her some bad news.
Me: "Unfortunately, it looks like you checked in via the mobile app. Due to that, I can no longer remove the first night of the stay for you. However, your second night is definitely held for you."
K: "There's nothing you can do? I'm a tier 1 shiny(lowest level above basic member)."
Me: "Unfortunately not, sorry."
K: "Well, that sucks. Okay then. Thanks for trying."
If it had ended there, I wouldn't be telling this tale. And she definitely wouldn't have been given the moniker of "Karen". So anyone reading this probably isn't terribly surprised with what comes next. About twenty minutes later, the phone rings again. I give the Standard Hotel Greeting.
BA: "Hello, yes, I'm calling from about a reservation for Ms. Karen McCustomer."
Me, internally: "Of course you are."
Me: "Okay, what can I do for you regarding that reservation?"
BA: "So, Karen has had an issue and is unable to make her first night. Is there any way to cancel the first night but keep the second one?"
Me: "As I told her when she called me a bit ago, since she checked in online through the mobile app, I can't cancel her first night."
I mean, I could have. But it would have both required me to violate hotel policy and engage in extra work. I might do one or the other when I truly feel it warranted, but not at the same time.
BA: "Oh. That makes sense. I'll let her know. Just to confirm, she will have her reservation for the second night, right? We can't risk her having her reservation no showed and her losing the second night."
Me: "That's not an issue at all. She's good to go for her second night."
BA: "That's the important part. Thanks for your help."
Me: "Thank you for calling. Have a good night."
BA: "You as well."
Again, if it had ended there, this wouldn't have been a story worth posting. Guest is told no, tries to get travel agent to talk me into saying yes. Very common tale. However, this is where my involvement in the story ends. The following interactions have been dramatized based on being recounted to me by CW2.

It is daytime. Late afternoon. The birds are singing. The machinery of a road crew working just down the street is singing the song of its people. The giant ball of fire is up in the sky doing...things.
Just remember kids: When has a giant ball of fire ever been good? I rest my case.
Anyway, the phone rings. It's busy, so our FOM, CW, gives the Standard Hotel Greeting as he's helping out with the desk
K: "Hi, so I had an issue with my flight, and I only needed one night of my stay."
CW: "Oh, I can fix that for you. What's the name on the reservation?"
K: "Finally, someone who can help. Karen McCustomer."
CW: "Okay, I've fixed that reservation for you."
K: "That sounded really easy. I wonder why the guy last night wouldn't fix it."
CW: "Don't know. But you're good now."
K: "Thank you."
If you've been paying attention, I'm sure you see what has happened. But CW was unwitting. And Karen thought she'd gotten what she wanted. Meanwhile CW sends up someone to make sure the room is cleaned since he just processed a really late checkout.

A couple hours later. The giant ball of fire is dipping down along the horizon. I'm at home, wondering to myself why the hell I'm playing the second lowest DPS spec in the game. And why some people keep dying to avoidable mechanics. Oh well, I'm not leading this circus. I just get to be one of the clowns.
Karen arrives, expecting to check into her room. Which has been sold. In fact, it was snapped up within moments, as CW checked the reservations screen after he hung up and we were booked solid again.
K: "What do you mean I don't have a reservation?!"
CW2: "It looks like you were checked out a couple hours ago."
K: "No! I called to cancel the first night, not tonight!"
CW2: "That wouldn't have been possible, as it was already checked in, looks like through the mobile app."
K: "That's what the guy said last night. But the guy I spoke to a couple hours ago said he could."
CW2: "He said he could cancel the first night but keep the second night?"
K, realization dawning: "...he should have known that's what I wanted!"
It devolved from there. Karens gonna Karen. But this Karen got to go Karen somewhere else. All because she chose a path that was clear. She chose free will. Next time, maybe she'll listen to the ready guide in the celestial voice of the auditor.
Who am I kidding? We all know she didn't learn a damn thing here.
I just hope you all have learned to distrust the giant ball of fire.

2023.06.02 09:38 onoell Went to the ER last week for shortness of breath/tachycardia and was told blood work was normal other than high WBC, but I see lots of “abnormal” results on my online patient portal. Seeking peace of mind here

20F, white, 190 lbs., 5’3”, non-smoker, history of anemia and prior use of phentermine (been off this medication for ~2-3 months). TLDR: went to ER for shortness of breath/tachycardia possibly caused by allergies and taking too much cough syrup (respectively), told blood work was normal, but I am worried it might not be
Hi all. This is my first time posting so if this doesn’t adhere to the rules, please correct me. Last week, I went to urgent care because I was having extreme difficulty catching my breath. This started at 4 AM that day and progressively got worse till I went to urgent care at around 7:45 pm. I figured it was just allergies (undiagnosed but pretty sure) because I had had similar episodes (I have cats, moved away for college, came home and saw cats). What’s interesting though is that the onset of symptoms was very sudden, I had not had hardly any contact with my cats the day before/leading up to the symptoms. After being away from the cats for long periods of time, my symptoms get much worse (used to be sneezing/congestion, now it’s painful coughs and shortness of breath). To counteract the coughs, I take brompheniramine-pseudoephedrine-dm 2mg-30mg-10mg/5 mL oral syrup (after this incident, I threw this medication away, it was also 6 weeks past expiration date if that’s relevant). At 4 AM I took 7 mL, at noon I took 5 mL, and at 5 pm, I took 10 mL. I had no appetite that day, so the only thing I had ate was a 12 oz chocolate peanut butter smoothie around noon and 7 cough drops around 6-7 pm. The tachycardia started around 6 pm, I had a resting heart rate around 120-125 bpm for an hour and a half. When I went to the urgent care, they gave me a rocephin shot and a steroid shot, then a breathing treatment. Breathing treatment made the tachycardia worse and my heart rate went up to 140-150 bpm resting rate, with no indication it was gonna decrease. I suspected the medication was the cause of the tachycardia because of what I had read about with side effects, my blood pressure was also 159/~82 and I typically have normal blood pressure. Since my heart rate was not returning to normal, they suggested we go to the emergency room to be safe, so we did. There they monitored me for a while, did an EKG (was normal other than tachycardia), and did multiple blood tests. They never told me the definite cause of the shortness of breath (urgent care: negative chest X-ray, negative for COVID-19, possibly negative for other common viruses but I cannot remember which ones) nor the tachycardia, as the ER doc said the dosage was normal (bottle said 5 mL every 6 hours). They prescribed me with 5 20 mg prednisone pills (took 4 of 5), Z-pak (took all of those), 200 mg benzonatate as needed, and an albuterol inhaler. I am feeling much better and am pretty much asymptomatic other than an occasional cough. Based on the blood results below, I wanted to know if it’s possible the shortness of breath might not have been allergies and could have been something else? Additionally, I am quite worried by the morphology, D-dimer, and troponin results. Is my anemia more severe than I thought? Could I possibly have a small blood clot? Is there a little bit of heart damage? I apologize for all of the questions, I am a worrier.
Abnormal results: Morphology: Polychrome 1+, Hypochrome 1+, Microcytes 1+, Aniso 1+, Macryocytes 1+, Tear Drop 1+ (but it also said “not seen” so not sure about this one) D-Dimer: 0.57 Glucose R: 105 mg/dL (is it possible I have prediabetes given I had only had that smoothie + cough drops to eat that day, 4 hours in between the blood draw and cough drops, 9 hours in between smoothie and blood draw) Troponin 1 HS: <3 CBC: WBC 13.7, Neut% 87.8, Lymph% 5.2, Neut# 12, Lymph# .7, MCV 75.7 fL, MCH 24.2 pg, MCHC 31.9 gm/dL
