Comparing 5e and One DnD warlock, at levels 3-4, 5e just looks much better. One DnD version doesn’t get 2nd level spell slots and has only one more spell slot. 2 2nd level slots that recharge on short rest is much better than 3 1st level slots that don’t.
Did they get other buffs I don’t see? Was 5e warlock secretly op? Or is this just an unfortunate result of being a half caster now?

After getting some fresh feedback immediately upon posting a similar poll within the last hour, I wanted to reframe the question and follow a commenter's advice to post it in dnd as well. I'll report back with my findings w/ graphs and shit.
[ORIGINAL TEXT] I'm having a conversation with a friend about what we think the best RPGs are, and despite the fact that he's played and has been exposed to multiple other RPGs, he still thinks 5e is simply the best... I was under the impression that most of us started with D&D since it's the most accessible/popular, and then eventually found better RPGs elsewhere. For me personally, although I do really enjoy D&D, it's probably of my least favorite RPGs I've played... Just since I've seen so many mechanics work so much better elsewhere. What do y'all think?

We decided last year to start our own DND campaign and I have wanted to expand the server to include it as well as a feature and have more people be involved in it but to do that we need GM's willing to run the games. We want it to be where any gamer can go so they can hang out, make friends, and enjoy gaming together. Our main game and the reason the server first existed was Destiny 2 but have grown into a Community/ Gaming Server and looking to keep growing! Also have started Movie Nights to help build our community that is selected from a list of suggestions so feel free to join up and let's watch along with lfgs for any game you can think of and chats to meet new people and become friends with.

Edit: Thanks for all the insight! Since I belive we're not gonna be going to 14 up, I'll take him to Battlemaster 3 the next few levels. Ultimately, it comes down to the thought of that extra action when I need it, and the fact that Battlemaster maneuvers are just so powerful. After that, I'll consider either cleric 1 for just the full flavor, or continuing monk
(5e) Hi, I'm currently in a campaign where I am playing a Tabaxi Kensei Monk 6. We're nearing a level up point, and I'm stuck at a 3-way crossroads, and would love some advice. Ultimately, it comes down to a lot of flavor of the character, but too many things sound good.
Our party is currently 2 Druids, 1 Wizard, 1 Sorc, and myself (Monk). I love being the "weapon master" of the group, and my DM has graciously let me use a glaive as a Kensei weapon, provided it uses my martial arts die. Currently, I wield a Glaive, a +1 Longsword, and a Longbow. My options for level 7 are: Monk 7, Fighter 1, Knowledge/Arcana Cleric 1.
Monk abilities get crazy if you get the ki to spam them, and Evasion is really nice. Fighters get the Fighting Style (considering multiple ones) and second wind, and would start me on the way to becoming a battlemaster. Cleric would give me a lot of fun spell stuff and just fit the character very well.
I know Fighter would be the "power-build" option, which I'm not opposed to. Monk would be simple and be some great defensive options. Cleric would be more for fun, but could be really useful for a one level dip. But I'm extremely uncertain about which one I want to do. Any advice or views would be appreciated!

I'm Rainmakerpk and I've been running a fully homebrewed campaign based on a Frostpunk Fantasy world dealing with a lot of real world issues and a never ending winter for a short while now (finished the first mission/arc) and we need 2-3 players as some of our players left due to scheduling conflicts (as is customary in dnd)
The theme is a little dark and gritty but it's heavily story/roleplay driven and almost any race and class are acceptable as long as it's available on the 5e companion app
The timing as mentioned above is from 10:30pm-2am (GMT +5:30) on Saturdays and/or Sundays
PS :-
1) we are all in our early 20s so we'd be more comfortable with people similar in age
2) we play on Discord via text; play by voice is not an option
3) New players are welcome too.... we'll teach you everything you need to play dnd 5e

Hello!
I just wanted to share that we officially launched our 5e Audio Play Patreon: The Explorer's Guide to Everything the other day.
We take our adventures and distill them into ~30 minute episodes, with narration and sound effects! We launch these monthly, and have art drops, lore drops, a weird little podcast where we talk about all kinds of things in-between, as well as a budding community that is welcoming to all levels of new and/or improving players and GM's. We also play live (most) Fridays on Discord! I'm not great with Twitch (yet!) but we're hoping to stream there eventually.
Currently, we are working on Tales of Terror, a Gothic Horror adventure based on 5e compatible material from the Arcane Library.
Any constructive feedback is welcome, so if you like it, let me know! If you don't, also let me know and we'll see if we can improve it somehow. There has been a lot of ugly crying learning how to do this!
I really appreciate this community, and DnD as a whole. I found DnD at a very low point in my life, and I'm truly glad that running away to a weird fantasy world helped me tolerate being in this one.
I hope we get a chance to adventure together!

Beneos animated tokens (not affiliated and not sure if I can post links but google should find it) look quite awesome. However they are developed for use with FoundryVTT *but* the dnd 5e game system. From the creator posts it looks like you can use the idle animation in pathfinder PF2E with a workaround, which should be assigning beneos animation as the pathfinder token art.
A nice thing about beneos tokens is that many tokens include several animations also depicting walking, attacking, dying, etc. Does anyone know if these non-idle animations can also be used in PF2E? If yes how complicated/time consuming is it to set it up?
