Hi! I’m doing my A-Levels at the moment and then having a gap year in which I will reapply to university.
I’m thinking of doing OT. Can anyone advise me on what the course is like and how working as an OT is in the UK?
Is the course very hard and academic, or does it leave time for relaxing and hobbies? I know it requires dedication and hard work, but is it as hard as, say, medicine?
And do you enjoy working as an OT? I’ve heard a lot of negatives on this sub, but I know that people often come online to complain, so I’m interested in the positives too!

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second, and I'm not sure if I'm suffering from PPD or just normal depression (I'm already medicated and seeing a therapist) but I just don't see the point anymore.
I wake up every day and doooo.... nothing. I take care of my toddler. I clean up the same messes every day. I do the same chores every day. I watch the same shows, play the same games, read the same books. I paint pictures no one will ever see. I write stories no one will ever read. I ask for help that no one will ever give me.
Not being able to be independent during this pregnancy has been very hard. We have a list of things to do before she's born that's a mile long and I can't do any of it. Because it's too heavy. Or it's too strenuous. Or there's fumes and it's too dangerous.
So I'm having to force my fiance to do it, but he works up to twelve hours a day five days a week, sometimes six, then I feel guilty that he never gets a day off.
We have a roommate, but he's pissed that we're having a baby, so he refuses to help with anything. My parents are too old. My "friends" have their own lives. I'm not close enough with my siblings to ask. My fiance's friends all live in a different state.
So I'm stressing about everything that needs done to prepare for this baby so that I can doooo..... what?
The same shit I do every day. The same shit I've already done every day for the last five years.
I have hobbies. But they mean nothing. I have no goals or aspirations in life. I have no skills or talents. I'm an unpaid nanny to my children. A maid to the people in my house. An executive assistant. I do the job of three people for free and at the end of the day, does it even mean anything?
Maybe I'll get lucky and raise my girls right. Maybe I'll raise them without trauma and struggle. And then they'll go on to live happy lives and forget everything I did for them. And then my purpose will be gone. And I'll have even less than I do now.
I just don't understand the point. Life is meaningless. Struggle is meaningless. I am meaningless.

Hey everyone. I’m a 22M and I’m currently enrolled in university. Me and my sister decided to get a puppy for my parents after my mom lost her sister and my father lost his brother. We figured it would get their mind off of their passing and get busy with the puppy instead. It’s been two and a half weeks since we’ve had him and he is going to be 3 months old in a week. During the past week, I’ve been regretting getting him. He has destroyed my life pretty much. I cannot find the time to go to the gym, I cannot study an online coding class that I had a planned to, I have not seen my friends, I missed a close friend’s graduation, I cannot get a job, I’ve had no sleep as he wakes me up multiple times during the night to go pee outside. I am losing my mind and I have not stressed this much my entire life. I can’t even sleep as I start stressing in my sleep and always watching over him in my dreams. I wake up with an insanely high heartbeat thinking he has done something wrong, even though he might be asleep in his crate. I think you get the idea. My sister lives at her own place with her two cats. My dad works night shifts, and when he comes home in the mornings, he’s super tired and needs to sleep. My mom has started going to school again and can’t really watch the dog. Point is I have to pretty much take care of him by myself entirely. We live in an apartment and I feel bad for him and for myself. Yesterday he was terrible. All he did was nothing but bark. He’s super moody. He peed inside even though he had just peed outside 15 minutes before. It just kept getting worse. He was up till 1 AM. Everything I put him in his crate he would just scream. His bedtime was supposed to be 10:30PM. He doesn’t like going out because it’s super hot. He pretty much never walks when I bring him out. Just lays down in the grass and eats it. He bit me so hard when I went to remove a tissue from his mouth. He hates his crate and never voluntarily goes into it to sleep. He doesn’t listen to me at all and therefore I can’t train him at all. Sometimes when he does listen, he gets mad at me after a few commands because I’m not giving him the food right away, and therefore I cannot provide him much mental simulation. I’ve bought him 300$ worth of toys and chews yet he still goes to bite the furniture and if I stop him from doing so, he gets angry at me. My parents are pressuring me to give it away. I don’t think he likes me at all. I’m at my limit, I had a breakdown yesterday and this morning I cried remembering how he used to run with me the first day I got him and now I need to give him away. Please help me out. Can anyone tell me the schedule for their puppy that worked? Where can I train him if I can’t do it at home? How many times a day and and how much water do I give him everyday? How much training does he need a day? How much should he walk? Please help me out with any tips you have. I’m starting to dislike him and can no longer see him in my life. I’m already busy and I will be even busier when I’ll need to go back to engineering school. I want to do the right thing and give him away if I have to.

Hey all! I'm an NP that sees a lot of urgent visits and I get so many ear cleanings randomly. At the practice I work we are limited with supplies. We have the rinse kit and ear creates but my visualization is limited. When I have a nurse hold the otoscope light I still cannot see much. Does anyone have a camera that can be sterilized between patients or another system that works really well? I'd like to bring it up to my practice manager for a supply change. Thank you so much!

Checking through the British Airways website and I can't see anything about checked luggage that exceeds the allowed limit (i.e. the weight limit for my luggage is 23kg but the luggage I packed is 28kg). The best I could see was the 65 GBP charge per checked baggage for every luggage outside the number of checked luggage that comes with an economy ticket. Does anyone have an idea of what the charges for overweight checked luggage are?

I can't seem to get gsync working with Diablo4. I turn off my second monitor and when I launch other games it says gsync is enabled, but it's always normal in D4. Does anyone have this working or is it possibly a game issue? Specs are: nvidia 530.41.03 rtx 3090 running on X11.

Hello, I’m sharing some of my limited knowledge with a person needing advice beyond my specific understanding.
This person’s parents are divorcing. The complaint was just filed with the Court on 31-May-2023. The person I’m helping is an independent, adult child of the parents living with the mom at the parents jointly owned, jointly titled house (the father abandoned the abode, and his exact residence is unknown—but he has been gone too short for a case of statutory abandonment).
Anyway, here’s the crux: The Clerk will be making Service via USPS Certified Mail today (outbound today), and 1 address is the joint home. The wife/mom cannot sign, obviously, being a direct interested first party.
What does the emancipated, adult, independent son do if the USPS delivery person presents the letter? The two problems are: 1) the son is not the person being served; and, more importantly, 2) as a child, he is necessarily an interested (secondary/indirect) party to the lawsuit.
How should he respond to the postal employee when the letter ultimately arrives?
My current thinking: First, inspect the envelope—USPS DMM allows a person to hold the envelope to read it without delivery having occurred (thus allowing a person to refuse it). Next, I’d say the son should endorse it “Addressee Missing/Abode Unknown” and handing it back to the carrier, finally stating “refused” (but not writing the word ‘refused’ on the letter).
I also contemplated whether the son should also endorse it with: “I am an interested secondary party to suit.” Seems overkill.

I just finished prepping the 3rd academic year for my group, and I've got a little bit of a problem.
I've already been fielding a lot of questions like "Why are we supposed to do this?" and "Why don't the teachers do anything about this?" For a setting that really seems to hold students hands and discourage random deaths and dismemberment, the teachers are really ineffectual. According to the book, they never seem to help against horrible monster attacks or take an interest in information about these attacks until it's too late. They even continue to send out players to poke around in wilderness areas without supervision.
Anyway, I did the best I could to mitigate that, but I'm having a real problem with year 4. It seems like the players are just supposed to discover that Murgaxor cast some offscreen spell on the teachers at some point so they couldn't harm them. It seems a little... lame.
Even if my players buy into that, why does it fall on just the players to take down Murgaxor. What about Dragonsguard? The actual dragons? Even an army of fourth years to train all year to confront Murgaxor.
I was thinking perhaps I could have Murgaxor cast some sort of spell on Strixhaven while the players are confronting Dean Tullus in the Deans Repository that effects the dragons, teachers and students, so the players are the only ones unaffected.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any better ideas to fix this? Should I just tell them to take a chill pill and ignore the invisible walls?

Long story short I had to get a Chime replacement card which doesn’t seem to work with my Apple wallet so I have no way of using it. I have Venmo and have been using the Venmo QR code to buy groceries, etc. but unsure of what stores that sell cigarettes accept QR codes?

My gender identity has been something I struggled to put a label on for years, I went through many labels and the only one that stuck for quite sometime was agender but I am not sure if that fits anymore.
I tried to look at men and women on TV and see if I can imagine myself as them, but I can't. Men with such short hair, beards and full body hair. Women with chest, periods and over all being seen as a woman.
I think I'm somewhere under the nonbinary umbrella, but calling myself nonbinary, genderqueer or agender does not feel right.
I guess I can see myself in characters that make people question their gender or characters that do not fit the "status quo," like girls who are tomboys and boys who are roseboys. I'm not sure how I feel about dressing feminine or masculine because ever since I was little I did not understand the concept of clothes having gender, and I still don't.
I also want to participate in things/groups without being seen as a specific gender, I saw a girl braid another girl's hair and I wished I was a part of that, but not seen as a girl. Or hang around with boys without being seen as one. I guess I just want to be and belong? To be seen as one of them, a part of the group.
But I also want people to be confused about my identity, to not be seen as one or the other.
Xenogender could be a possibility, because no matter how I try I cannot seem to find a good enough description with the concepts of masculine, feminine, etc. But I am still very unsure. I'm not even sure if the label is valid.
Does anyone know a label for a gender that is under the non-binary umbrella and the feeling that is difficult to describe?

I have been fortunate enough to be accepted into OMSCS & OMSA for the Fall '23 cohort, but I keep kicking the can down the road in deciding which one to take. Does anyone know if it is allowed/possible to accept admission to both programs and make a game time decision?
