What jobs can you get with a degree in secondary math? Long story short I’m not eligible to teach in my state because I’m not eligible to get my license. I’m just about to graduate with my bachelor’s in math education degree. I could get my license, but I have to transfer to a whole other school because my school doesn’t let me redo the class to be eligible for licensure. The program at the new school will be a post bacc program. I’m debating if I should continue the two years at the new school and pay out of pocket or see if I could get another job for a while. As a math education degree I took analysis, linear algebra, calc 1-3, abstract algebra, number theory. I do like teaching I’m just not sure if I should continue trying for the licensure or take a pause and find another job, and eventually go back to teaching. The problem is I don’t know what job to get as a math education major other than teaching. Also I got a scholarship that could pay for another semester of school. Should I take it? Postpone my graduation for a semester and take some coding classes or something?

I’m looking to go to Carleton in the Fall of 2024. I already have college credits (that I took/am taking during high school).
I’m interested in the Honors Neuroscience BA program (looking to get my PhD after) and will have about 5 credits worth of classes that should most definitely transfer over (prerequisites and electives). Will only have like 2 non-neuro courses left to take in the program (2 bio courses, probably the Fundamentals of Genetics and Foundations of Biology II/Cellular Biochem)
Because I’ll have 1/4 of my degree done, how expensive do y’all think the rest of my degree would be? I have great academics and come from a low-income household. Will I get scholarships? I know there’s a lot of bursaries after year 1, but do you think I’ll get financial aid for the first year?

I have been at my current job for almost 3 months and I’m already ready to leave, but I’m unsure weather it’s the right decision.
I started working in a lab about 3 months ago because I wanted to get the experience and they paid pretty well. I quickly noticed a lot of practices, equipment, and storage of chemicals/ drugs were not safe. My coworkers and I agreed that we should voice our concerns to our bosses (small company) which resulted in us being gaslit and then saying everything was completely researched and safe (it’s not). We continued to bring things up and only small things were changed reluctantly. Management had always been horribly unorganized and communication between departments resulted in inaccurate expectations of work to be completed for the day. Furthermore, I was hired as a chemist for the company and my job description clearly stated my responsibilities. Recently, management has been trying to train us in other departments’ jobs such as R&D, Engineering/ Planning, etc. and expect us to fulfill a rotation in these roles without compensation (of which are not in my job description). My coworkers and I recently found out that they have made new job postings online for our current role except there’s a new name and more has been added to the job description. We have not been formally notified of this and I still hold my original job title. I recently went on a trip so I left work for 2 weeks. When I came back, one of my coworkers had been fired due to “performance” issues. We all believe this to be false because they were very good at their job. 2 of my current coworkers have either quit or are in the process of securing alternate jobs. Today, management fired the whole Planning/ Engineering department (2 people lol), which honestly makes no sense because they held the company together. Not to mention I haven’t been completely trained at my job, so once my coworkers leave almost nothing will be getting manufactured. I am obviously considering leaving, is this the smart thing to do? Or am I in the wrong for leaving the company with no chemists?

First, to clarify I’m student who is raised by a teacher and a father with no degree so I used to get things like , “fuck your degree and such a stuff.” I have studied in a state school that 50% join the work force, 40% community college, and 10% college where mostly low state schools. I have always wanted to be different, because seriously I used to get back home and heat up Tina’s burrito, four for a dollar. I was poor.
Unfortunately, I have a hidden talent and that I was smart. I used to lock my self and wanted to escape the shitty environment I used to live at. I have graduated with 4.1+ gpa, and high test scores. 50% of the school had a gpa of sub 2.5. I have gotten into UIUC and a competitive program. My father stated that he will not pay for my education (no support). I have always lived like shit and still living like a shit. Now I have gotten two choices to stop doing my best or to continue hard work. I have chosen to continue and I have gotten full scholarship and a job afterwards. Questions I get is why I attend UIUC. I have no choice the scholarship program that I have applied to only wants top 100 or top 20 for major in the world. So coming from shitty school is even more worse.
Why I have chosen UIUC? I have never seen people with astrophysics and computer science degree. Well now you see and guess what 3.4+ gpa. I got envied by my own family unfortunately I was smarter than my whole ancestors.
20 years old international was able to get free flights, and live of my paid apartment by my own.

I'm in the middle of looking for scholarships but the site (scholarship universe) is asking me what school I plan on attending. I cant just put in the school name I need to select a state, county and city. What do i fill in for this? i tried looking up wher WGU is bases and got Utah but i tried filling in the info with that and no schools came up

am a college student, using the United States Soldier G.I Bill for college after my separation.
I bought a Ford 2017 from this Dealership around 2019-2020 from a dealership, certified pre-owned.
Last year, from summer to winter, I have replaced spark plugs 3 times. I thought this was odd; I purchased the car with around 50 thousand miles, and it currently has around 78. Not bad for around 3 years of ownership, and never missing service dates for inspections or oil changes. Of course it was a retail before hand, and that is why it had around 25k miles a year or so....but I have treated the car VERY well.
Turns out the car had some serious engine problems that where slow ticking time bombs, culminating into a final event of my engine failing completely 1 month ago. I owe 14, the cost is 11 to repair. According to the Ford Certified Mechanic, this engine problem has been slowing building for quite some time, meaning that it was never caught by Hyundai when they did their "certified inspections".
I am a combat veteran going to school on the Gi Bill, and now I am not only without a reliable means of transportation, but I still owe a substantial amount on this vehicle.
Of course, engine is out of warranty.
I am studying abroad, and I return in two weeks. My father is having the vehicle towed for me to a second mechanic (family friend who has worked on vehicles for 10 years), for a second opinion. I doubt the answer will come back favorable for me, as the vehicle was taken to Ford and diagnosed by Ford with a $200 test.
The total cost of the engine repair is 11, out the door. I owe 14,300. I could pay for this cash as I have money saved up, but I would rather not do this. The loan is through Navy Federal, and my insurance is through Progressive.

Turns out the car had some serious engine problems that where slow ticking time bombs, culminating into a final event of my engine failing completely 1 month ago. I owe 14, the cost is 11 to repair. According to the Ford Certified Mechanic, this engine problem has been slowing building for quite some time, meaning that it was never caught by Hyundai when they did their "certified inspections".
I am a combat veteran going to school on the Gi Bill, and now I am not only without a reliable means of transportation, but I still owe a substantial amount on this vehicle.
Of course, engine is out of warranty.
I am studying abroad, and I return in two weeks. My father is having the vehicle towed for me to a second mechanic (family friend who has worked on vehicles for 10 years), for a second opinion. I doubt the answer will come back favorable for me, as the vehicle was taken to Ford and diagnosed by Ford with a $200 test.
The total cost of the engine repair is 11, out the door. I owe 14,300. I could pay for this cash as I have money saved up, but I would rather not do this. The loan is through Navy Federal, and my insurance is through Progressive.
