Xiaomi Mi Band (Best for starters)
The MI fitness band from Xiaomi is the best one if you are tight on budget and would like to start making changes to your lifestyle by looking at your daily activities. It is one of the cheapest fitness band in India. If you’re looking for a fitness band below Rs. 1000 then this is the best choice for you. You will be able to use features like step counter, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitor, alarm clock, phone calls reminder etc. This fitness tracker will give you all the features that are available with other high end fitness bands available in the market.
The battery life for this band is pretty good as it runs for approximately 5-7 days. When it comes to the pedometer feature of this band it pretty much gives 80-90% accuracy for number of step counts. This fitness band is considered to be one of the best pedometer for walking because of its wonderful step counter feature. The heart rate feature of this band is not that effective and therefore don’t pay much attention to the heart rate.
The Xiaomi Fitness band syncs well both with all android and iPhones.
2. GOQii Life Fitness Band (Best for people who workout regularly)
This fitness tracker is my personal favorite and I’ve been using this fitness band since last six months. The GOQii Life Fitness band has been designed by an Indian Entrepreneur based in Silicon valley – Vishal Gondal. This advanced fitness tracker will track your daily steps, Calories burned, Distance covered, Active hours and Sleep pattern.
The best part about this fitness band is you will get a qualified personal coach and a certified doctor to review your data and to guide you to achieve your health goals. Along with these features you will get basic features like call alerts, SMS and WhatsApp notifications and steps counter.
The step counter is very impressive with almost 90-95% accuracy of total steps you take. The battery back-up is amazing with an average of 15-20 days depending upon your usage.
You have an option to go for 3 months/6 months/1 year subscription for Unlimited personal coaching sessions and certified doctor based on your preferences.
You get an option to choose your coach from the 4-5 choices they provide you based on your preferences. Needless to say that all coaches are handpicked and experts in health, fitness and exercises.
The display is quite small in this band and its kind of hard to see in daylight as the display is not that bright. The band is made of silicon and very sturdy so you can wear it all day long.
Overall the The GOQii Life Fitness band is one of the best fitness trackers in India and certainly very affordable if you are a fitness freak who wants to deep understanding about their active lifestyle.
Selling to people all over the world this Indian Startup that was founded by Aayushi Kishore and Arnav Kishore, made a big bang launch at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas early this year.
The company claims that their inbuilt Artificial technology not only helps people to track their fitness data, but the devices also lets users analyse and get actionable insights about their fitness levels.
Boltt is compatible with both Android and iOS mobile phones and it also offers personalized coaching to its customers which is similar to the GOQii Fitness tracker.
The difference between GOQii and Boltt is that Boltt provides coaching using their Artificial Intelligence technology based on your workout, walk, run and other activities. While GOQii gives you a real coach who will guide you to meet your fitness goals.
The company has sold approximately 2000 bands so far after they launched in June 2017.
4. MI 2 band (Best for fitness freaks)
Xiaomi recently launched their MI fitness band 2 during the last quarter of 2016 with much better features than the original Xiaomi Fitness band. The new features include a OLED display which was not there in the first band. The step counter in this band is more accurate than the last one as they’ve improved the algorithm that only counts the steps and not your hand movements.
The company claims that the battery life is 20 days however my experience with this band is that it lasts 10-12 days which is pretty amazing. It connects well with all Android phones and iphones.
The heart rate sensor is pretty accurate and for accurate results during the workout wear the band on the inside of the wrist.
It has the regular features of giving you notifications of your sms, email, whatsapp, etc.
The Intent Fitrist is yet another good product from Intex and has the basic features of measuring your distance, calories and step counts and also sending notifications of your calls, texts, whatsapp etc. Battery life is not that great as it will only last for about 5-7 days as per the company. As per my experience the battery only lasted for 2 days.
The step counter feature or the pedometer is not accurate and gives false readings. This is something that the company needs to improve if they want to stay in this fitness band market otherwise. If you are looking for a Cheap fitness band below INR 1000 that can just connect with your phone and send you notifications then you should buy this one.
Finally in my humble opinion if you are interested in buying a fitness band to track your sleep patterns, steps and other activities then I would not go for this one.
While there are a number of fitness bands available in the market these are the five Best Fitness bands below Rs. 2000. My personal recommendation is you should go for either GOQii (with a minimum of 6 months coaching) or the MI band 2 by Xiaomi.
