2023.06.03 00:24 Cold-Connection-2349 The moment I even hear his voice my anxiety goes into overdrive

I'm working toward no contact. I drove more than 1,500 miles away to get away from him. Well, I had to come back because of a family death.
Of course, my codependent ass had ideas of us going back to our friendship and doing some hiking, etc while I was in town. Why?
He got custody of his son about 7mts ago and that's when the romance and weirdness started. I can't go back to being friends. He says he can but that's not how he behaves.
I (we both) made a bunch of promises to his 10yr old son. I don't want his son to feel abandoned by me. Plus, his life with his father is pretty rough.
I also am a plant fanatic and had left all my plants with him to care for with the idea that he could mail me cuttings late on once I found a place to settle.
While I was gone (only a month) he would act super interested in connecting with me a day here and there but mostly he acted disinterested and would talk at length about his favorite person.
I'm discarded, I get it. But the pain is unreal. I was getting to the point, while I was gone, to where I wasn't obsessively thinking about him and his son every day. Progress.
As soon as I started the trek home the anxiety started.
I stopped by to get pics of my plants as I've initiated the process of rehoming them. I brought a friend with me so I didn't cave into whatever BS he was going to throw at me that day.
Just seeing him sent my anxiety so far over the edge that I forgot my dog (my bff and travel companion).
My plan was to get my plants out of there ASAP and honor one of my promises to his son and take him camping. I'm not sure how I was going to explain to the 10yr old that we wouldn't be keeping in contact. But then, block all and be done.
Why? Why did I think anything would be without huge anxiety for me and megga drama!
Apparently, now I am branded as an unsafe person to be around his son. I'm just floored and shaking I'm so upset.
I knew that even before I left he started telling people what a monster I am and how I was the cause of all his issues. We all know that I was theoat amazing person in the world just a few brief weeks before that.
His son also had started acting strange towards me. I watched my friend tell his son "you can talk to your mother anytime you want" but manipulate him into not calling her. The poor boy did finally call his mother one day and my friend then decided to tell his kid, "since you don't care about your future anymore than I don't " He changed all their "future" plans, stopped doing anything to take care of the kid and told he that he's replaceable.
Idk why I care what he's telling people. They're not in my circle. The kid thing is devastating because I'm the one who helped him get custody. He was always so good to me and I thought, idk what I thought but it wasn't based on reality.
I've seen the way he talks about his son's mother, most women actually. I know that's the kind of stuff he's saying about me. To his circle and to his son.
Sorry for the rant but my nervous system is going crazy. I want it to be over. I want to leave the state again RIGHT NOW!! I promised a friend I'd house sit the last week of June so I'm kind of stuck in the area for now. But being here justakes me rehash everything.
My plant thing....I was starting to sell cuttings, etc and I hate to lose my stock. It's my dream to derive my income from my love of plants and I have a nice stock of unique plants.

2023.06.03 00:23 JoshAsdvgi The Heaven-sought Bride

The Heaven-sought Bride

The Heaven-sought Bride

A brother and sister left destitute by the death of their father, a chief of the Chinooks, were forced to go hunting sea-otters every day to obtain a livelihood.
As they hunted the mists came down, and with them the Supernatural People, one of whom became enamoured of the girl.
The ghostly husband sent his wife gifts of stranded timber and whale-meat, so that when her son was born she might want for nothing.
The mischievous Blue Jay, hearing of the abundance of meat in the young chief's house, apprised his own chief of the circumstance and brought all the village to share it.
The Supernatural People, annoyed that their bounty should be thus misused, abducted the young chief's sister, along with her child.
The woman's aunt, the Crow, gathered many potentilla and other roots, placed them in her canoe, and put out to sea.
She came to the country of the Supernatural Folk, and when they saw her approaching they all ran down to the beach to greet her.
They greedily snatched at the roots she had brought with her and devoured them, eating the most succulent and throwing away those that were not so much to their taste.
The Crow soon found her niece, who laughed at her for bringing such fare to such a land.
"Do you think they are men that you bring them potentilla roots?" she cried.
"They only eat certain of the roots you have fetched hither because they have magical properties.
The next time you come bring the sort of roots they seized upon--and you can also bring a basket of potentilla roots for me."
She then called upon a dog which was gambolling close at hand.
"Take this dog," she said to the Crow.
"It belongs to your grand-nephew.
When you come near the shore say, 'Catch a whale, dog,' and see what happens."
The Crow bade farewell to her niece, and, re-entering her canoe, steered for the world of mortals again.
The dog lay quietly in the stern. When about half-way across the Crow recollected her niece's
"Catch a whale, good dog," she cried encouragingly.
The dog arose, and at that moment a whale crossed the path of the canoe.
The dog sank his teeth in the great fish, and the frail bark rocked violently.
"Hold him fast, good fellow!" cried the Crow excitedly. "Hold him fast!"
But the canoe tossed so dangerously and shipped so much water that in a great fright she bade the dog let go. He did so, and lay down in the stern again.
The Crow arrived at the world of men once more, and after landing turned round to call her wonderful dog ashore.
But no trace of him was visible.
He had disappeared.
Once more the Crow gathered many roots and plants, taking especial care to collect a good supply of the sort the Supernatural People were fond of, and gathering only a small basket of potentilla.
For the second time she crossed over to the land of the Divine Beings, who, on espying her succulent cargo, devoured it at once.
She carried the potentilla roots to her niece, and when in her house noticed the dog she had received and lost. Her niece informed her that she should not have ordered the animal to seize the whale in mid-ocean, but should
have waited until she was nearer the land.
The Crow departed once more, taking the dog with her.
When they approached the land of men the Crow called to the animal to catch a whale, but it stirred not.
Then the Crow poured some water over him, and he started up and killed a large whale, the carcass of which drifted on to the beach, when the people came down and cut it up for food.
Some time after this the young chief expressed a desire to go to see his sister, so his people manned a large canoe and set forth.
The chief of the Supernatural People, observing their approach, warned his subjects that the mortals might do something to their disadvantage, and by means of magic he covered the sea with ice.
The air became exceedingly cold, so cold, indeed, that Blue Jay, who had accompanied the young chief, leapt into the water.
At this one of the Supernatural People on shore laughed and cried out: "Ha, ha! Blue Jay has drowned himself!"
At this taunt the young chief in the canoe arose, and,
taking the ice which covered the surface of the sea, cast it away.
At sight of such power the Supernatural Folk became much alarmed.
The chief and his followers now came to land, and, walking up the beach, found it deserted.
Not a single Supernatural Person was to be seen.
Espying the chief's house, however, the Chinooks approached it.
It was guarded by sea-lions, one at each side of the door. The chief cautiously warned his people against attempting an entrance.
But the irrepressible Blue Jay tried to leap past the sea-lions, and got severely bitten for his pains.
Howling dismally, he rushed seaward.
The young chief, annoyed that the Divine Beings should have cause for laughter against any of his people, now darted forward, seized the monsters one in each hand, and hurled them far away.
At this second feat the Supernatural Folk set up a hubbub of rage and dismay, which was turned to loud laughter when Blue Jay claimed the deed as his, loudly chanting his own praises.
The Chinooks, taking heart, entered the lodge.
But the Supernatural Folk vanished, leaving only the chief's sister behind.
The Chinooks had had nothing to eat since leaving their own country, and Blue Jay, who, like most worthless folk, was always hungry, complained loudly that he was famished.
His brother Robin sullenly ordered him to be silent. Suddenly a Supernatural Being with a long beak emerged from under the bed, and, splitting wood with his beak,
kindled a large fire.
"Robin," said Blue Jay, "that is the spirit of our great-grandfather's slave."
Soon the house was full of smoke, and a voice was heard calling out for the Smoke-eater.
An individual with an enormous belly made his
appearance, and swallowed all the smoke, so that the house became light.
A small dish was brought, containing only one piece of meat.
But the mysterious voice called for the Whale-meat-cutter, who appeared, and sliced the fragment so with his beak that the plate was full to overflowing.
Then he blew upon it, and it became a large canoe
full of meat, which the Chinooks finished, much to the amazement of the Supernatural People.

2023.06.03 00:23 RockTheMicRight Tough Year, First ER Tomorrow, My Story So Far

TW: High-Risk Pregnancy, Live Birth, Gene Variant, Pregnancy Loss, Mental Health, The Longest Post Ever
Hello friends, I'm pretty new here. Been lurking & learning from you. I have been a single mom of a child with special needs for over 13 years. Having another child (and hopefully a healthy partnership) has been the deepest desire of my heart for a long time. Been doing the work in talk therapy for decades to be able to be a healthy parent & partner. Started the testing & pre-reqs for egg-freezing a few years ago. At the time, money was a big obstacle. Also, Covid SUCKED. Fast forward to 2022-2023, which became one of the hardest years of my life, & I'm feeling an unprecedented level of global uncertainty. Helped two family members through major health crises last year, had skin cancer, lost a loved one, have had my own worsening health issues. I have been clinging onto hope & faith. Tomorrow is my first ER, & after a virtual appt with my doc today I don't feel very hopeful ATM.
Some background: When I was 25 in 2009, I left an abusive relationship & 2 weeks later found out I was pregnant. Around 10 weeks gestation, a cystic hygroma (NT) was discovered. My son was given a 20% chance of being born healthy & alive. It was a high-risk pregnancy, steeped in uncertainty & specialist appts. The diagnostic technology was new, very little data. His odds of survival went up as the pregnancy progressed, but it was still overwhelmingly uncertain for the entire 39w5d. FAITH. Went through it all as a SMBC. Every weekly ultrasound, I held my breath until I saw his heartbeat & measurements. He was born, he was a beautiful baby, & he is currently a beautiful 13-year-old with a variety of special needs. He is also the king of dance parties & dad jokes & loving his mom.
It has mostly been the two of us as a little family for his whole life. It's been remarkable & also very, very hard. For 13 years, we didn't know the reason for his special needs. In early 2022, I got our exome results. His father & I each had a variant on the same gene that had caused his rare genetic disorder. For the first time in 13 years, I had an answer. It also finally felt possible for me to one day have a child without special needs. HOPE.
A month after these results, I reconnected with my friend of 20+ years. We fell in love, values aligned, deepened friendship, had a whirlwind romance, got married. My first marriage at 38. It felt divine & also almost Divine. Finally, a love story of my own with someone I thought I knew so well. HOPE. We agreed on wanting to have children together down the road. "We can have five," he said. "Whoa, slow your roll," I said. He had some fertility coverage through work, which was a huge blessing for us. We embarked on the journey of getting his genes tested, my HSG etc, & scheduling IVF for embryo banking. A month before starting IVF, we found out I was pregnant. Six weeks later, we found out our baby didn't have a heartbeat.
To my friends who have been through MCs, my heart aches for you. I had no idea about everything MC was until I went through it. And I am so so so so sorry for those of you who've been through it too. My MMC was a brutal, drawn-out experience, meds didn't work, surgery, grief, confusion, devastation. And in the very thick of it, in the deepest muck of it all, my husband/dear friend suddenly decided that he didn't want to have a child with me anymore.
I thought he may come around but he didn't. It began an unraveling over time of nearly everything I knew him to be. Lies, changing values, anger, gaslighting, abusive behavior...it all systematically broke me down, broke my heart, & turned my world upside down. We are separated now. I've been in intensive mental health treatment, striving to heal & to learn, working on getting my self & my life back. FAITH. Knowing my deep desire for another child & because of my age, I felt compelled to finally take the egg-freezing leap. Even though I'm not in the best place mentally/spiritually/emotionally, I do have a solid support system right now & I can't really afford to wait. Also, when our divorce is finalized, I will lose what's left of my fertility coverage.
The PRESSURE on us women due to our changing bodies or our bodily limitations & the "geriatric" BS & the level of perseverance we have to muster & the realities we have to face to move forward toward what we ache for....
All that to say, I've been trying to do the damn thing. All the things, really. I wish I'd known then what I know now, but I have learned some lessons along the way that are now sewn into my heart. There have been some good moments. My baseline AFC was a surprising 29 (up from 14 last fall). HOPE. 11ish of my little follicles have been growing. FAITH. I've felt gratitude & relief that my follicles have been responding & progressing. HCG trigger shot last night; I survived the bizarre bodily sensations & lightheadedness.
But today when I talked to my doctor & broached the (vulnerable) subject of a possible sperm donor for future cycles & embryos, she basically shut me down. She lamented about my separation & said maybe my husband will change his mind. She threw up legal roadblocks & psychological testing criteria & hoops to jump through to diminish the option of a donor. (Um, I'm pretty sure the cryobanks will ship sperm to my doorstep these days). She talked about my low yield & how we don't want to split up my mature eggs if we don't have many to start with. Ummm, my first ER is tomorrow, we don't even know my yield, & I honestly have been feeling deeply grateful that my advanced maternal ovaries & follicles have been working so hard to come through for me.
I'm just tired. I'm new here, new to egg-freezing. But I'm not new. I've been in the maternal-fetal specialists world & the fertility world & the wanting a healthy child when my body won't cooperate world for a while now. I have been clinging onto hope & faith, & I am EXHAUSTED.
My story is complex & nuanced, as are so many stories here. This group helps me feel that I'm not alone. Thank you for allowing me to take up space here. Thank you for being here so I am not alone in this. You, friend, are not alone either. We can be tired together. When we are weary, we can have hope for one another & faith in each other. I just need to know that I will get through this. Sometimes we need to say out loud or even scream, WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. We will. 💜

2023.06.03 00:22 Drakolf TftM- Rabies:

To say the Hedron was segregated implied a level of injustice that, really, only the Humans really understood culturally and historically. It was more that vast sections of the station was pressurized in different ways, filled with gasses that exactly matched homeworld conditions, and even incorporated plants and some animals to accommodate. They were usually prey animals, a handful of predators, all properly socialized and carefully vetted for long-term sustainability on the station.
Grahim and David lived more in the center of the Hedron, with the rest of the Council- well, they lived apart from them, in David's suite that he had rented out with his Doctor's salary before the Council footed the bill since Grahim was living with him. Even so, the duo often visited each other's biosphere within the Hedron, though David insisted on getting the relevant vaccines and booster shots before entering. "To be safe." He said.
Grahim never understood his Human Companion's paranoia, every creature was carefully vetted for habitation, there was no possible way for any form of disease vector to get onto the station. Nonetheless, he suffered through his companion's paranoia, mostly because he greatly respected and cared for him.
Terran atmosphere was slightly thicker than Grahim was used to, a slightly different combination of gasses, a slight head rush as a higher amount of oxygen meant a slightly more sluggish movement. He took a hit off his atmospheric stabilization inhaler, kept his mind as sharp as he could under these conditions.
Grahim liked Humans, and as the Human children surrounded him, he felt no lesser for kneeling down and letting them get their fill of petting him. David laughed, it was the kind of good-natured laughter that accompanied most shenanigans that children got into.
"I think they like you." David remarked.
"Of course they do, your species conditioned yourself to find anything fluffy cute and pettable." Grahim replied.
During the Caniti-Human War, the Canicians had learned never to harm Human children, it was an indelible sin that even other Humans could not get away with. While the war was in the past, before Grahim's time, the elders had spoken of how the Humans they fought had abandoned their rules of warfare the moment children began to fall.
They had been overwhelmed instantly, and the terror in that elder's eyes signified that this was a warning to take to heart, and so Grahim was gentle.
That was when he heard the growling. The children were startled, first looking at him, thinking perhaps he had been growling, but as it continued, they moved away from the sound.
A canid superficially resembling a Canician was growling at them, white spittle foamed around its mouth, eyes dilated. Grahim recognized a threat. The canid ran straight at Grahim, barking viciously, lunging at him, clamping its jaws on his arm. Grahim grabbed the beast by its throat and slammed it against the ground.
"Run!" He barked. "I've got it pinned! Take the children and run!"
Grahim was startled to see David not running away with the children, but approaching. He was still commanding them to run, which they did, and then David did something that shook him.
Grahim insisted on David carrying a sidearm for his protection, being the companion of a Councilor, it was important he be protected at all times if possible. David had agreed to this, especially after the incident with the trio of hunters. David pulled out his sidearm and shot the canid.
Three times, and the beast went limp.
David let out a shuddering breath. "It'll be fine." He said, mostly to himself. "We took our boosters, we know it works on Canicians." Those words were more concerning to Grahim than any others he could have uttered. Boosters, implying a viral threat.
David pulled out his communication device and spoke into it. "This is Dr. David Holt, we've got a dead rabid wolf on the station and a Canician who was bitten. He has had his booster shot within the past few days, but medical attention is mandatory. I repeat, we have a biohazard situation on-" David glanced around. "-Section A7, Subsector B5. Subject is neutralized with one Canician bitten, but known to have gotten a booster shot."
Grahim tried not to panic, he dislodged the fangs of the canid from his arm. He breathed, the canid had torn up his arm badly, enough that he definitely needed immediate medical aid. David- always prepared, had his medical kit out. He scanned the wound, used some nanites to heal the worst of the wound, and used gauze to wrap it up- this meant surgery. Then David pulled out a device Grahim had never seen before.
"I am going to inject you with a combination of an antiviral agent and an immune system booster." David stated. "Lyssavirus- Rabies- is a pathogen that infects nervous tissue. You've had your booster shot, so you should be safe, but I am absolutely not taking any chances on the off chance it's not enough."
"Do what you need to." Grahim stated. The injection was painful, but Grahim trusted his companion. Human authorities arrived within minutes, some had guns trained on Grahim, which concerned the Canician greatly.
"Stow your gun, you idiot!" David snapped. "It takes far longer than a few minutes for rabies to cause any significant damage!"
"You heard the doc!" One of the Humans, their captain, most likely, snapped. "And next time listen to the debrief! This isn't a fucking zombie apocalypse. Goddamn rookies..."
Grahim was soon transported to the sector hospital, the doctors here showed much less concern than David, indicating his companion's fear had mostly been the possibility of losing him. They chastised him for being overcautious, and causing undue pain to a patient, David calmly asserted, "When it comes to a member of the Council, any of us would have our asses handed to us if we didn't ensure their safe recovery."
"Regardless, the vaccine and booster is enough to combat the infection, with your unneeded addition, all he needs is time and rest, and a little surgery to remove damaged tissue and regrow it.
"I trust my companion." Grahim stated. "He would not do anything to me that was completely unwarranted, even if it was born of a paranoid desire to see me completely healthy."
The doctor sighed and deigned to not complain. It wasn't like he was also a medical professional- albeit one that dealt more with Humans than not. "In any case, you will need to be confined to the hospital for the time being, just to be on the safe side- not that you'd be able to leave the sector while the quarantine is in effect. They'll need to round up every animal, euthanize them, follow up on any incidents in the past regarding animal bites and keep the people under close observation."
Grahim was startled. "Is that not extreme?" He asked.
"Rabies takes a long time to show symptoms, yet wasting time also limits the options one has to combat the nerve damage it causes. Nervous therapy is expensive, I doubt the Council will approve the money necessary for covering every potential victim-"
"Write me a report in plain terms, and I will present it to the Council." Grahim stated. "If this is dangerous enough that you need to euthanize every animal brought into this sector, then it is imperative that the Council be made aware, and vetting processes revised to accommodate."
The doctor looked surprised, he clearly hadn't expected Grahim to take him seriously. "I- will do that." The doctor replied.
Grahim was prepped and taken to surgery, to have his arm healed, and then, he sent formal requests to have a holographic stand in prepared for future council meetings. After all, he was on the Human side of the quarantine, and that was reason enough for his absence...
The incubation rate of rabies can vary between one week to a year, but is more typically between two to three weeks. These words, along with the news that the Human Sector of the Hedron was under quarantine shook the station.
It wasn't Humans who vetted the animals brought in, that task had been handled by others in spite of the Humans outright demanding that they be the ones to check. The Council had tossed aside their complaints as just Humans demanding special consideration, rather than anything approaching sensible concern.
The Human Councilor, Graham, silently stared at the stone-faced Council as Canician Councilor Grahim gave his account of the situation, including how he'd been savaged by a Terran canid- a wolf- while protecting Human children.
"It is the opinion of the medical staff in the Human Sector that every animal brought into the sector be euthanized, and that vetting processes are revised to accommodate Human standards." Grahim had finished. The hologram looked toward Graham. "Councilor Gra'am-" The Canician still wasn't used to pronouncing his name correctly, but it was an adequate attempt. "-I trust you already have the vetting revisions available?"
Grahim damn well knew he had the revisions, he'd been trying to push them every chance he could without pissing off the rest of the Council. Maybe if he'd pushed harder, this wouldn't have happened.
"Ladies, gentlemen, other." Graham stated. "This situation is our fault." The other Councilors flinched at his words. "Mine especially, for not pushing this harder than I should have." His words were heavy. Some of the guilt was affected, laid on thick to get his point across, nobody- not even the Gixx who was currently reading his mind- doubted the sincerity of his words.
"You are asking that we leave the vetting process of animals to Humans." The Latra Councilor stated.
"Terran animals." Graham didn't bother to hide his anger and frustration. "It has always been about Humans handling animals from our biosphere!" He looked at everyone gathered. "Let us not forget how the Council has ignored requests from Councilor Grahim out of petty revenge for their past warmongering, nor how you've constantly and consistently spoken over me every single time I raised this issue!" His anger was under tight control, he let it loose like a tightly leashed dog. "I personally think this extends beyond mere revision of vetting procedures, but the fact of the matter is there is an entire people in that sector who have been forced into quarantine because your chosen people got sloppy!"
The words stung, but nobody begrudged the Councilor's words. He was right, after all.
"Let us hear your proposal, in full." The Vagraxi Councilor stated.
"Essah-Tuvant, you can't seriously think-!" The Latraii Councilor interjected.
"My people have done their fair share of damage to the Humans, Councilor, be at peace knowing they haven't declared war on us yet."
Yet. That one word hung in the air. Humans had, in their own ways, perfected the art of war. Having spent generations killing each other, it was both their creativity and restraint that taught the Council that Humanity was reasonable- and it was their willingness to ignore their own rules of war in response to 'war crimes' that they also knew Humanity could be far more vengeful than any angry God.
The Council allowed Graham to speak, and to their surprise, the request was very straightforward, they understood if they had bothered to let him speak his piece, yes, this entire situation could have been avoided.
They had not been fair to the Humans, or the Caniti, for that matter, and the fact of the matter was that this mess couldn't be anyones other than their's.
Humans, unaugmented, can live up to one hundred years. Augmented, they could live twice that, and those who chose to upload their brain into a machine, or join the Gixx mindworld were effectively immortal, at least until they decided a cessation of existence was all they really had left to do.
The quarantine came and passed, the Humans took to it without too many complaints- those who refused to abide by it were removed from the station entirely, put on a ship, and told to waste someone else's time. Of over ten million Humans, only seven began to show symptoms of rabies, and those who did, who couldn't be recovered through nanite therapy, were given the choice of brain uploading, or a mercy kill.
On the rest of the station, a thorough sweep, a vaccination initiative, and careful observation only revealed approximately four non-Terran pets who had contracted the disease, and even then, they had been discovered long before they displayed any symptoms, or were even contagious.
And Grahim, of course, suffered through his ordeal with little more than boredom and the occasional worried glance from his companion, who was by his side at much as he could be, on top of taking on shifts at the hospital under the credit of the central hospital.
And the year without wildlife in the sector only brought in a newfound appreciation for them when animals raised in captivity were brought onto the station, all of them thoroughly vetted by Human zoologists.
Grahim was okay with a few extra months of observation, just in case.
It was during lunch with Graham that Grahim talked about his experience. "After my initial stay at the hospital, David and I stayed with his family, we were planning on visiting them regardless, so it was no issue."
He spoke of how the family welcomed him as usual, and even being notified that he had been bitten by a rabid wolf didn't stymie their kindness and concern- more for his well being than any fear on their part.
"The children I saved visited me almost every day. They brought me a lot of candy." Grahim chuckled. "I couldn't eat most of it, but it was the though that counted." An entire year surrounded by only Humans, giving progress reports on the show gathering and euthanasia of every animal in the sector...
"They had done a sort of ceremony in honor of them." Grahim remarked. "Like a mass funeral. It was... strangely breathtaking."
On top of this, he was also invited to various celebrations the Humans had, the oddly secular holy days, the traditions that varied from family to family, from culture to culture. Exciting, exotic.
Many of these details were shared with the Council as well, mostly to give them an idea of how Humans handled quarantine- which was to say, very well. Graham had chimed in, "We learned from our last mistake with conoravirus." He had stated, but didn't go into detail.
By this point, the Council had unanimously agreed that it was worth listening to the Humans more, as their response to the crisis had not only been effective, but had actually minimized casualties beyond the scope of what the finest minds among the other species expected.
So, when another outbreak happened- this time in the Vagraxi Sector- the protocols were followed almost exactly the same way, and aside from some resistance from those who thought it was a deliberate attack from Humans- at least, until a culprit was found who refused to admit their pet had been bitten on a visit to the Human Sector- the situation was handled a little worse than with the Humans, but not to a devastating degree.
Finally, after little over two years, the rabies virus was removed from the Hedron, and hopefully, it would never find purchase there again.

2023.06.03 00:21 andrewtater [OC] A Long Way Down

The humans had nearly a thousand stars within their medium-sized realm, with a hundred and fifty habitable planets and another dozen mid-terraform; all the rest had at least a mining station, research facility, or military garrison, with several hundred sporting fully domed colonies. Much of their industry had been automated, as well, resulting in a large population with the freedom to pursue their passions. Some enjoyed academia, career scholars who could be called upon by their governments to research problems. Some enjoyed quiet rural lives, tending gardens and developing new agricultural products so the farm AIs could feed the hundreds of billions of humans. Others became adamant gamers, using various programs to develop VR worlds for others to explore.
The Human Confederation worked well; while the overall parliament had clear lines delineating the limits of its authority, the solar cantons and their subordinate colonies were largely left to handle internal matters locally. Friendly competition between cantons resulted in many technological innovations, and some cantons decided to specialize in certain fields in order to ensure their name remained renowned.
Overall, humanity saw itself in a golden age, one that continued to gild itself further with exploration, peaceful expansion, diplomacy, and prosperity.
But no golden age could last forever.
The Hirox Empire saw itself also in a golden age, but their expansions were rarely into unclaimed space. They saw the world through the Theory of Relativity; matter cannot be created nor destroyed. They corrupted this to be their guiding principle: resources are finite, and others possessing them means less for the Hirox to use. The First Hiroxian Law.
They focused their attacks first on humanity's outer colonies, those with the weakest defenses but many untapped resources. The Hirox didn't need them now, just to deny humanity the possession of them.
They continued to ravage through the lightly populated outer worlds; the Gallic and Hispanic colonies were in the direct path, but the Sinic and Nipponic colonies were just as at risk around the periphery.
The Hirox pushed humanity back to their core canton worlds. They had been a power on the rise, but they had fallen from their golden age.
It was a long way down.
Human science proved to be far more adaptable than the Hirox expected. While they didn't often win in direct fights, ambush tactics had taken down several vessels, and the humans had no qualms about stealing the technologies they had acquired. As the war continued, humanity had fielded better and better ships. Hirox high command had even considered pausing the expansion to consolidate their gains and work on how to fortify their new territory. It wouldn't be without precedent, but it had been quite a long time since a species made them do so.
Fleetmaster Jilk was opposed to the idea. He saw how quickly the humans had adapted their industry. Failing to push the current initiative and technological advantage would give the humans a chance to rally, and that could be dangerous. They might even-
An explosion broke his train of thought. Not necessarily an explosion, though. It was as if the entire vessel had been struck by a heavy object. His command hologram sprang to life, showing the location of the damage.
He turned to the rear of his command center, looking at the two-meter-wide brain suspended in synthetic spinal fluid. Hobir, his ship's thinking center, was already working.
"Admiral, impact at level seven, hull was breached but has been sealed by the striking object. Working on getting an image. Shipmaster Gorn has already dispatched engineers. One other ship reports similar impact: carrier-class Blackwing; reports indicate engineers are en route as well. Sixteen ships report no impacts."
Jiln nodded. The two ships captains knew their business well, and Jiln could focus on commanding the fleet itself. "Hobir, develop report requirements: combat capability of impacted ships, then combat capability of entire fleet, then source of objects if any."
"Yes Admiral, three requirements developed and transmitted to captains. Initial report of impacts and developed requirements transmitted to nearest garrison."
Something didn't feel right. Like how one feels when one walks through the territory of a pack of keth. You just feel the unease of something. Why were there a pair of asteroids just lose in the barren system the fleet had been traveling through? And how did both hulls near perfectly seal themselves?
Explosions could be heard throughout the ship. Not with the level of power the impact had, these were small ones, echoing throughout the halls. He watched on his hologram as bulkheads were sealed, likely the captain trying to contain the damage.
Except the bulkheads failed to contain the damage. One by one, small detonations created holes in them, expanding aft until the sequential breaches split into two directions, one towards the engine room, and the other towards Jiln's command suite.
These weren't secondary explosions. They were breaching charges. These were boarders. He sped towards his communications console to summon his security detail and warn the carrier. Humans were on board. He barely dialed the fleet-wide frequency when the wall exploded. The concussive force was incredible, but the human marines that poured through the hole in the wall didn't seem to notice. One of them whirled his rifle around, slamming the butt into Jiln's spinal nerve cluster, triggering all his neurons to fire. After that lightning, he began to drift into the inky blackness of unconsciousness.
It was a long way down.
Corporal Sean O’Loughlin floated awkwardly at attention. His parents had been born in the Saffron Colony's domed city, but they had been evacuated back to the Eire Canton days before the Hirox destroyed the magnificent structure. His mother still struggled with losing her home, but thankfully nearly all the civilians had made it out. Unfortunately, her youngest brother, barely twenty at the time, had volunteered to be part of the shielding force, and his loss had never really healed. She did, however, meet Sean's father on the evacuation ship, and now twenty-two years later, Sean wore the canton's Clover Crest on his uniform's shoulder, just as his uncle had. He had seen how much others had lost because of the Hirox, and he had a few younger siblings to carry on if something happened to him, so he decided to join the vanguard. The meteors. The Drop Troopers.
This was the first assault against a world that the Hirox had held from before the war. A Hirox core world at that, thousands of light years behind the front line. This held one of their major shipyards, as well as an important command center. Luckily, some HVI the Marines had captured a few months back had seen reason and talked. The officer had given HCHQ nearly everything: access to the command nets, internal politics of the nobility, and intelligence on critical military infrastructure.
Taking this planet would at least delay the onslaught that humanity faced. It was also very likely the only mission any of these troopers would participate in, given how unlikely reinforcements were. This was a surgical strike, but also a one-way trip. They were to cause as much chaos as they could but were given a prioritized list of targets if they could reach them.
Corporal O’Loughlin floated down the line of his three subordinates. One wore a red maple leaf of his home Dominion, while the other two bore the stylized cherry blossom of the Nipponic colony of Sakura. He checked their equipment, and one by one he strapped them into their egg-shaped pods, seat facing down relative to the layout of the ship, ensuring all the systems were working. He verified the inventory of five combat drones and two recon drones each and ensured their AI assistants were up. When he was done, his own sergeant checked them, then strapped Sean in. Finally, with all the doors closed, and the countdown began.
Two minutes until launch. He prepared for his eyeballs to feel like they were about to meet his brain.
One minute. He tried to crack his neck, but the recessed cushioned cutout for his body prevented any movement. It was probably for the better.
Thirty seconds. He took a breath, and then another. As much as he enjoyed the practice drops, he was about to be in the heart of Hirox territory.
He felt the ship slam out of hyperspace. Not a second later, the countdown timer hit zero. He felt the moment the magnetic rails engaged, and then his pod was blasting towards this new world.
It was a long way down.
Scores of human dreadnoughts sat in the black outside the Hirox home world’s system. They sat with their lines of fire overlapping, making a near sphere of death that hung in the black nearly seven light hours from the sun. This was supposed to be a safe distance.
Even now, defiance and bile and hate spewed from the capital planet. Many Hirox had been willing to bow to human strength; in a culture where might makes right, the loser bows to the victor.
But not all saw that reason. Particularly the ruling caste, those who had the most to lose and those that bore the most responsibility. After the absolute purge of all humans that had been captured, humanity knew that not all sentients were redeemable.
It was graveyard still in the command center of the HCV Enola. The vessel had only been built with one purpose: to deliver the specialized munition in its hold. It held a minimal crew: half a dozen engineers and a pair of emergency firefighters. One medical officer, no corpsmen. A single missileer. And an old admiral, who had been ready to retire from service before the war had ever started over two decades prior. When the mission was over, the crew was to abandon the vessel as the autopilot flew it into a star. There was no glory to be had on this mission, but it would bring peace to humanity. It was perhaps the only path to peace not drowned in human blood, but they had made the decision to trade Hirox blood and more for it.
The missileer prepared the munition, removed all the safeties, and inserted his key into his lock of the twinned pair. The admiral drew the other from a chain around his neck and inserted it into the remaining lock, nodding to the lieutenant commander to his right. They both turned their keys simultaneously, opening the aluminum glass covering to a fingerprint scanner and a recessed button.
He nodded and pulled a communicator to his mouth.
"All hand, prepare for missile launch." His voice matched his heart: heavily laden with sadness and regret, but also resolve.
His thumb pushed into the button, sliding it barely a centimeter into the device.
It was a long way down.
The Hiroxian Emperor remained surrounded by his sycophants and true believers. Even now, down to their last system, they showered him with words of praise and assurances that they would still defeat the humans.
But in their twilight sky, they watched a single missile streak like a meteor. Like a human drop pod. Like a boarding craft. Despite the time and distance and trajectory, it was clearly visible, flying so, so fast.
Flying past Hira, past Hira's two moon, and towards the star at the center of the system.
Then they watched as the sun gave way to darkness. They felt the tremors throughout the planet and saw their two moons being ripped apart. The tidal forces shook skyscrapers until they collapsed, the screams of lickspittles and zealots just a whisper to the cacophony of quakes and the rending of glass and steel.
They watched as the stars moved in ways they had never moved before, at speeds they had never moved before. They felt their bodies be pulled, stretched, as they were dragged towards where their star once was.
The humans had fired a void bomb. A singularity missile. A warhead that could collapse a star into a black hole.
Hira, and the last of the warmongers left of the Hiroxian species, fell into the chasm left in the wake of that missile.
It was a long way down.

2023.06.03 00:21 passwordforgetter92 My first IV ketamine experience.

The clinic administered the first shot which was 1/3 of the dose. My dose was 40mg total administered in IV. So the first injection was 12mg.
I felt a little disoriented and I kept staring at my hands. Not much else. I was allowed to choose my own music and had the music on in thebackground.
They had an optional mask and when I put the mask on I could see red shapes. I preferred the mask off. I was more talkative, I felt calm and more intellectually inclined rather than feeling particular emotions.
For instance when I thought about my trauma I didn’t feel scared, just confused and trying to understand what was going on, and what I was experiencing.
This 10 minutes felt like 30 minutes.
Then they administered 2/3 of the dose
This hour felt like 3 hours.
I did experience going through a “black hole” where my vision looked like binoculars. Through the binoculars I could see a traumatic event happening. But I only saw the beginning? Not the end.
Peak: I felt like I was in between life and death, and that I could see on both sides. I also was thinking about ancestors a lot. And that my ancestors were death but that they were secretly beyond death, like they are still inside me but they died long ago, so their timeless lives still existed inside me. I felt they all lived from me. Like I was a vessel inhabiting my ancestor’s lives. It felt very timeless. I didn’t know them but they knew me? And they were me.
I felt my life was in control from them, and they threw obstacles in my path. I saw my trauma being envisioned as wolf spirits .
I looked at my hands and they looked like my dying mother’s hands from when she had cancer, and was very skinny. My hands looked wrinkly and old. I felt like I was timeless but also much older than I am. (23)
I told my doctor all of this while he was in the room with me
I did not feel scared, just curious. I felt like I was uncovering truths of life and death. I was calm though.
Music sounded more faint and far away. Same with voices.
Afterwards I feel better, mostly the same but less sad honestly. This was only my first treatment but I have two more left.
Side effect for me was headaches. I had a bad headache the following evening as well as the following day. I was a bit dehydrated.

2023.06.03 00:21 Ill_Be_Alright Survivor Perk Ideas and a New Killer Idea

I know they’re literally releasing new perks and whatnot, but my gen-addicted brother inspired me to come up with these perks for survivors and figured I’d share. Mostly curious about how balanced they seem to the community (:
Finish the Job When the killer grabs you off of a generator, this perk activates for 20/30/40 seconds.
While Finish the Job is active, damaging a generator will not cause immediate base loss of progress. Normal regression still applies. When a generator is damaged while Finish the Job is active, other survivors receive a 4%/6%/8% increase to repairing generators until the generator is completed or Finish the Job deactivates.
Arrogance While repairing a generator within the killer’s terror radius, Arrogance activates.
While Arrogance is active, your generator repair speed is increased by 4%/5%/6%. You receive an additional 1%/2%/3% per layer of terror radius you’re in.
As for the new killer… it’s super complicated and I haven’t ironed out all of the kinks yet but it’s a sweet idea so I figured I’d share.
The Cryptid Forest Voice The Cryptid’s terror radius is replaced by Forest Voice. Forest Voice passively mimics the sounds of injured, dying, slow-vaulting, or being-carried survivors. Survivors passively gain a stack of Haunting for every 10 seconds they spend in The Cryptid’s terror radius without being in a chase, up to 5 stacks.
When at least one survivor has maximum Haunting stacks, Forest Voice progresses to its second phase until a survivor is hooked. While Forest Voice is in its second phase, each survivor with 5 stacks of Haunting suffer from the Exposed status effect, which is only revealed after a survivor has been downed this way (similar to Hex: No One Escapes Death). When The Cryptid picks up a survivor during Forest Voice’s second phase, all perks revealing killer or survivor auras are disabled until the survivor is hooked or wiggles free, and The Cryptid gains the Undetectable status effect. If the survivor is hooked, these effects persist for an extra 8 seconds. When a survivor is hooked during the second phase, all stacks of Haunting are consumed and every survivor is reset to 0 stacks. For every 5 stacks consumed this way, generate the aura and noise notification of the hooked survivor on a random hook. These images remain indistinguishable from the real survivor. When a survivor interacts with a fake image, it creates a loud noise notification for the killer and afflicts the survivor with 1 immediate stack of Haunting.
Ancestral Observation Press and hold the Active Ability button to enter Ancestral Observation. The Cryptid gets on all fours as close to the ground as possible, reduces its movement speed by 70%, and has no red stain. It can remain in Ancestral Observation for as long as the button is held, but for the first 10 seconds it fills a meter with Kinetic Energy. Upon releasing the Active Ability button, The Cryptid remains on all fours and scurries around at 170% movement speed for each second of Kinetic Energy stored.

2023.06.03 00:16 Abilonian99 Does BPD mess with your feelings towards friends or S/O?

I've been diagnosed with generalized anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, depression, body dismorphia etc. But not BPD just yet, I'm waiting to see my doc. Point being is, the last two years (I'm 23 f) I've noticed a huge difference in my personality and mental health. I go days where I'm happy and fine and then other days completely down and can't accomplish anything. But throughout all of those days, I'm raging, I'm mad, and I'm constantly agitated. I can be switched from a laugh to yelling for the stupidest thing. It's so uncontrollable and it tears me apart. I seriously have tried so hard to figure out how to think before I react. I can't. BECAUSE in that moment whatever I'm upset about is number one. It's the worst thing ever and it's a perso al attack. It takes 5 to 30 minutes for me to realize that I've been acting nuts. This usually hurts my significant other. With this, because I go off the rails so easy, all I've been feeling is anger and frustration with him. It's causing me to freak out and think "am I not happy in this relationship anymore?" We've been together for 6 years in September. I've been happy. We got a house. Two dogs. I've got no reason to not enjoy his company besides the fact that I irrationally react to everything. I didn't use to be this way. I legit feel like I'm going insane guys. The way my emotions and headspace has changed so dramatically the last year or 2 is scaring me to death. What if I can't get it fixed?

2023.06.03 00:15 Peacewalker42 A question for hungry heretics....

Hey all, this is a cross post from Grimdank, but it isn't a shit post, please don't delete.
Gonna try my hand at writing some fanfiction for 40k soon. I was gonna ask this question on the Warhammer Fan Fiction sub but they are.... not huge, and this was really more to gauge what people might like, so...
What are factions opposed to the Imperium that you feel don't get enough love, for whatever reason? Generally speaking, I actually like Chaos as an antagonistic force in Space Marine stories, but I kind of agree with people who say it's been done to death, so I wanna try writing a story with a different enemy than just "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!" Even though I - admittedly - really dig those stories.
Sell me on the faction, why you think they're cool and would make cool antagonists for some good ol' fashioned Bolter Porn, cause thats what I plan on writing. People who give good reasoning and relevant excepts will perhaps be given preferential observation.... just saying
Also, I do not know how tags work here. Sorry.

2023.06.03 00:10 Drakolf TftM- The Human Mind:

David had seen a lot of shit.
Well, doctors usually see a lot of shit, and while very few were willing to engage in a battle of wits with poorly armed opponents that led to a broken bone and a crippling fear of the doctor's species, David had seen a lot more shit than most others.
David had learned the anatomy of every known sapient species on the Hedron, and for better of worse, what modern science couldn't help, he often had to cure with what some might consider a 'meat-grinder' surgery.
While an absolute blessing for any mammalian species with a passing resemblance to Terran fauna, the rest who were well and truly alien knew that if they were assigned to him, yes, they were going to live, but the recovery process wasn't going to be pleasant. And David didn't like being classified as 'slightly better than death'.
Humanity had developed surgery before anesthetic, hell they'd developed it before really understanding their own anatomy properly. Horror stories of lobotomy and trepanning reminded even the Canicians that Humans had uniquely developed from some particularly barbaric cultures, the fact that they were, by and large, more interested in friendship and camaraderie did mitigate the fear somewhat.
Tros was concerned, mostly because it was supposed to allow David to shadow it as it did its rounds, to improve his understanding of Gixx physiology. Ever since the former Gixx Collective tried to assimilate Humanity, their special adherence to individuality led to singular minds tending toward inhabiting singular bodies- not all at once, and sometimes the same body would host different minds at a time. Even 'Tros' was just a signifier for convenience's sake.
A body simply wasn't as important to the Gixx as it was to the rest of the galaxy, as long as it was connected with the mindworld, 'death' was merely the loss of a tool, nothing more. But, some tools were more important than others, and Tros had recognized the fact that it needed to remain in good shape for 'recognizability' reasons.
"Good afternoon, Human David." It said. "How may this one be of service?" 'This one', indicating one mind was currently operating the body. David's mind was an outpouring of several thoughts, mostly an admiration for Gixx physiology, though some of it was more primal, an itch that betrayed that while David was otherwise fit to serve as a doctor, deep down he enjoyed causing harm, something that was growing less concerning to the Human as his relationship with the Caniti Ambassador developed.
Worryingly, there were other thoughts, some devoted to idle fantasy of what David and the Caniti would do in their bed, some considering the merits of genetic splicing to better allow the Caniti the opportunity to be be a little rougher.
Tros pulled back, remembering that Humans didn't like their minds probed, and the Gixx didn't want to add any other potential unstables into the mindworld if they could help it.
Not much time had passed, thoughts happened in instants, though it usually felt longer for individuals. David hadn't experienced a long pause, he replied promptly, "I'm here to observe you today, Dr. Tros."
A convenient appellation, nothing more. Tros merely nodded. "Understood. Please understand that we Gixx will likely be observing you as you observe us."
David nodded. "I know, I could feel you reading my mind."
Tros blanched at this. "Greatest apologies, Human David, we will endeavor to not do so in the future."
"You're still learning." This irked the Gixx somewhat, they had every day to practice, it was the Humans who would do well to learn to close their minds. Tros breathed normally, purposefully. It knew David picked up on this immediately.
"Let us proceed." Tros stated. The rounds were standard, it was mostly Tros interfacing with the body of another in the mindworld and diagnosing based on location of discomfort, David observed, he knew that Tros used its psychic power to sense and diagnose injury or discomfort based on where the pain was.
That was when David shocked the Gixx not only by pressing his mind into the body, but by not immediately being assimilated by the mindworld. Tros stared in utter horror as David displayed a hithertofore unknown and undocumented psychic power.
"I've got a hunch this guy's dealing with indigestion." David stated. He glanced at Tros. "Even if you're all connected, the body still moves based on instinct, he's clutching his abdomen, my guess is, based on anatomy-" Tros observed with fascination as David mentally dissected the Gixx body before him, mentally sifting through organs, pinpointing the exact organ without fail. "-he's probably got an inflamed skratix."
"How did you do that?" Tros asked.
"Huh? Oh, it's just a hunch. The body can tell a lot about what's going on inside it just through its verbal cues and reflexes."
"No, you inserted your mind into the body and pinpointed the exact location of distress." Tros stated. The mindworld was all focused on David, except those who needed to focus on critical work elsewhere. "How did you train that psychic potential? Why have you not logged it?"
David looked confused. "Psychic potential? Me?" The Human laughed. "I've already taken all of the aptitude tests, I can't read minds or remotely control technology. Maybe you're just diving a little too deep." There was an implied threat. David was well and truly ignorant of his psychic potential, yet he felt that Tros was the one who was overstepping its boundaries.
"Perhaps." Tros breathed before continuing its rounds...
The Gixx do not go near Human psyche wards. Ever wanting to aid those in need, the few insane minds they attempted to assimilate left the entire mindworld reeling for weeks. The insanity was not so easily cured, and they eventually had to excise the minds, which led to the unfortunate deaths of those they had assimilated.
Tros was more interested in observing how Humans managed them, took the opportunity to learn about Human psychology, only to be sickened and disheartened at what their history told.
The words were stark and cold, an implied anger at their wrongdoing in the past. Humanity was not proud of their cruelty, they simply lived with the 'ghosts' of the past. The Gixx observed with some fascination that the doctors who cared for the mentally unwell had learned to close their minds, and for good reason.
The insane had that same potential as David, that same talent for digging into the minds of others. They didn't know what concerned them more, that David was potentially just as insane as the rest of these patients, and more capable of hiding it, or this was simply the Human default, and they simply had not noticed before.
Several minds pressed on Tros, who was forced to close their mind. It was alone, surrounded by the howls of the mad and the damned, cut off temporarily from the mindworld. It didn't know when it collapsed, only the relief of the concerned others as it returned.
"Are you okay?" David asked.
"You Humans are terrifying." Tros stated honestly.
"They just need love and support is all." David stated defensively.
"This one means all of you." Tros stated. It stood up from the couch it had been sat upon. "It is this one's opinion that you Humans are best served caring for your own, especially those whose minds howl like that."
It knew these words hurt David, but that was the cold and naked truth. Tros resumed their duties with the cold and unshakeable understanding that had the Gixx known these things about Humanity before they attempted assimilation, they would have simply opted to exterminate the lot.
But now, the damage was done, they had exposed themselves to that madness, and it had left its indelible mark on the mindworld...

2023.06.03 00:09 I_am_Fang_Yuan_ Taking LSD while reading Reverend insanity, Becoming Fang Yuan, Fighting God, Defeating and Achieving Eternal Life!! I am Fang yuan!!

Taking Lsd while reading Reverend insanity
Human Path Cultivators HATE HIM! He has raised his human path attainment using the Demonic path's "Illegal Drugs!" The Righteous path "society" hates him!
so I took like 6 hits of Lsd while reading reverend insanity each 150 ug and a few 300ug And damn I really got messed up!
First trip was normal shit but I felt it was weird how all this shit in my mind would unravel, like I thought how interesting fang yuan was and like delved deeply into his ambition
Second trip however was 300ug and that's where shit gets very interesting, I literally felt I was FANG YUAN! AND Lsd was Spring Autumn Cicada and Wisdom Gu ! Which gave me all these revelations from my future self, I also thought like wait wtf, the sky is white heaven and space is black heaven, this is the gu world, I was in Central continent which is Europe and all this shit was beyond wild, like it feels like it's Literally the TRUTH like reality! But thank God, I still had a clear mind and didn't do dumb shit like cutting my ear or some other shit
Fourth trip was something more insane, it was directly after it was revealed all of shadow sect was spectral soul's split soul, like the same day I took lsd and I literally felt I was God and everybody was my split soul
Now 5th trip was even crazier, I still thought I was God but I wasn't fang yuan, Rather fang yuan was gonna ascend to venerable and fight ME because I am God ! But I also felt like fang yuan was another one of my split soul and I was doing all this chaos just to entertain myself for eternity
Ok now get this, I don't think reality is just random because I tried multiple times to get lsd at random times but I would procrastinate and the day I would break through in the novel I would do it for no reason at all
Also for people who never did Lsd, it's like another world,it's hallucinations so now just understand this, you literally forget most of the trip so when you get back it's like WTF I KNOW THIS PLACE! I was here before but I forgot for some reason
Now continue with me because my character development went exactly like the novel and especially the legends of renzu which I think is the best story about the human condition, but THERE IS TOO MUCH COINCIDENCE! like it cannot be random how the part stood out and you will see why now
So I was in the part where the miniman got of city well in the legends of renzu and there was this quote : "City well is a secluded domain of heaven and earth, only by knowing you are inside of it can you get out", now I didn't give it much thought and coincidentally I took lsd the next day, AND then BOOM! I was like OK so this is city well, even if it's not, I can see that reality is not real, It's all just a Dream! But like then at that moment it was like damn!! Only by knowing you are inside a well can you get out of it and realise True Reality!
Now we are going even WILDER in the next part I read a lot, I understood things like the heart of renzu, like his heart and the trials he faced
So this next part, I took LSD but I didn't READ the novel but here's the catch it was the most intense trip I have ever had, i felt I was BOILING in lava literally, now as you might not now but lsd amplifies all emotions like 100x especially suffering like it lasts even after the trip, in this trip I HAD AN INTENSE EGO DEATH,
Now ego death sounds catchy but it's Literally just memory suppression, I didn't know what it was but it sounded cool but when I got it HOLY SHIT! I literally did not Remember my own name, I didn't KNOW WHO I WAS! OR MY PAST! OR WHAT I WANTED! I literally forgot everything, it's not that I forgot it but it was all suppressed I couldn't recall anything at all!
Like I remember I met my dad after this which was in summer and I FELT LIKE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW HIM! I ate food and it felt like it was the first time I ate, I saw trees and I felt it was the first time I saw them, I'm not even kidding it was the scariest shit ever, I couldn't even think properly
The scariest part is there is this state that's called pure consciousness, it's when you see something but you do not remember the act of seeing; like you see something but you forget your existence; you don't remember you are a person seeing this thing but there is just the thing itself
This was really like rock bottom for me, like when I saw somebody I could vaguely feel I know this person but there were no memories, and I would have this voice in my head : "WHAT AM I?" "WHERE AM I " "WHY?" AND ALL this shit was crazy, I would think all day and i understood nothing about what the world was or how it worked
It's Literally like being THERE in the trip and having never come back, like I could remember i know this thing but I do not have access to I cannot take it and see it Like even Later on, I would forget everything like if I think very very hard I can vaguely remember but it's Literally like amnesia and Weird schizo thoughts all the time, even the way I acted and my movements, even while walking it felt weird and I would black out and forget I existed
Now hear me this, I went like this for weeks, at this point I wanted to stop reverend insanity cause it made me suffer but get me this I'm bored and I open it up, I read like a few chapters AND BOOM! It's the part where Renzu goes INSANE! and he doesn't remember who he is or where he is, and then when he sees the birds he thinks he is one, when he sees the fish he thinks he is one and seeks Freedom Gu, at that point I was like WTF !!!! this can't be real, this cant be a coincidence, I had went insane and renzu was there like me, and then the fate war finished, Renzu hated fate and so did i, like for the first time in my life I was like holy shit WHY IS THE WORLD THE WAY IT IS? Why can't we just be happy all the time why do we have to suffer constantly? I understood there, ok so this world is suffering! Through constant change the only permanence is impermanence, I think it got me more into Non-duality religions and zen buddhism it's more interesting since they also get into the things I felt in these states
FUNNIEST SHIT : So later on, I accept this state, and I go to the beach with my family, and I am like oh this is the beach, I enter it and then BOOM! WTF this is literally Reverse flow River! The more I tried and got in the harder it pushed me out and It was literally like a revelation in my head lmfaaaao
i sound like this but I'm pretty serious most of the time but damn the legends of renzu is literally just mind-blowing, the more I reread it the more I understand more about life and the human condition, like when Renzu finds self Gu and It tells to WALK! he doesn't know how or where but self gu just tells him to WALK! Or when Forest samsara and the miniman built the ladder, and the miniman got out of Oradinary abyss, I literally feel these things, especially when Renzu faced that big predicament and it ate all his hearts, similarly I think I felt how it feels to go through what he went through, I think this goes to show what it means to be a Human Being
This is human path, i think at this point, my attainmentbhas reached Quasi-Supreme grandmaster thanks to Lsd and reverend insanity, But damn it was a HELLISH journey!

Taking Drugs and LSD and Becoming Fang Yuan and Fighting God

An Updated version of a previous post about me taking LSD and reading reverend insanity, Except this time, we have LSD (3500ug) months of doing it, shrooms loads, overdosing on Ketamine especially K-holes, 2-FMA, loads of tryptamines and other drugs, i had a previous post about this and this is what follows
I will restart from the beginning
In my 2nd LSD trip ever, which was 300ug and that's where shit gets very interesting, I literally felt I was FANG YUAN! AND LSD was Spring Autumn Cicada and Wisdom Gu ! Which gave me all these revelations from my future self, and I was Struck in a Time loop where I needed to realise what my Future Self was telling me, perhaps I had died in the future and finally returned to the Past to Survive with all these revelations
I also Felt I was gonna become like Fang Yuan and conquer this world, and this entire world was my own playground and Everything in it was at my Mercy and will one day come to belong to Me alone
I also thought like wait wtf, the sky is white heaven and space is black heaven, this is the gu world, I was in Central continent which is Europe and all this shit was beyond wild, like it feels like it's Literally the TRUTH like reality!
Fourth trip was something more insane, it was directly after it was revealed all of shadow sect was spectral soul's split soul, like the same day I took lsd and I literally felt I was God and everybody was my split soul and I had Created this entire world and Universe from scratch for my own entertainment
Everytime I call it the "Zone", where you feel "I Knew this" but I was made to forget it on purpose to play this character!
Now 5th trip was even crazier, I still thought I was God but I wasn't Fang Yuan, Rather fang yuan was gonna have to ascend to Venerable to fight ME because I am God !
But I also felt like fang yuan was another one of my split soul rebelling against me and trying to take my Position as God but it also felt like I was doing all this chaos just to entertain myself for Eternity and he was but a character
Now continue with me because my character development went exactly like the novel and especially the legends of renzu which I think is the best story about the human condition, but there is too much coincidence!
"City well is a secluded domain of heaven and earth, only by knowing you are inside of it can you get out", now I didn't give it much thought and coincidentally I took lsd the next day, AND then BOOM! I was like OK so this is city well, even if it's not, I can see that reality is not real, It's all just an Illusion made to make me fall asleep! But like then at that moment it was like damn!! Only by knowing you are inside a well can you get out of it and realise True Reality!
I felt I was trapped in this Illusion of Life and I needed to wake up and become God again
So this next part, I took LSD and it was the most intense trip I have ever had, i felt I was Boiling in lava literally, now as you might not now but lsd amplifies all emotions like 100x especially suffering like it lasts even after the trip, in this trip I had an intense ego death
I forgot everything and became a white empty slate, being Nothingness
This was really like rock bottom for me, like when I saw somebody I could vaguely feel I know this person but there were no memories, and I would have this voice in my head : "WHAT AM I?" "WHERE AM I " "WHY?" AND ALL this shit was crazy, I would think all day and i understood nothing about what the world was or how it worked, much like Renzu when he went Insane!
In this same way, I was trynna destroy and get out of Fate gu's bindings that was binding me to a mortal body and in this illusion
At this point, I went to the beach and it was very similar to Reverse flow river and it gave me a good contrast to my life which is me being pushed by the Sea of Fate
this till now was last year, now We Get into the Real shit thats interesting
In an mdma + Huge LSD dose, I saw God in his True infinite form, a Formless form, a huge void infinite white sky without limits, The Supreme Being, the only True existence, there came a merging, a me dissolving in God and Love and I was two steps from becoming God
but I had to give up my body and mind! but a thought stopped me that "I was gonna be Alone", a fear of Death, giving up Everything and Everyone and few thoughts rippled "I fear being God"
it dawned on me that perhaps the boredom and fear of being alone was what made me create the world but it later became clear that it was the human form/mind that feared that and not the real "Me"
After this experiences of rejecting the merging into God coupled with the mdma comedown made me go Through Literal Hell, feeling disfunctional, suffering bodily and insane anxiety, stress and suicidal thoughts that came with the comedown but It dawned on me that perhaps it was God's punishment for prefering the World to Him, "you came all this way yet refused me for this lowly world", it did feel terrifying and full of suffering but I came to transcend that suffering and reject God and his anger, what is he gonna do anyway?
But it went to Hell even more, that string of bad luck didn't end just like that, through some coincidences I ended up consuming 5x the normal dose of ketamine and it was HELL itself, I was Boiling, My heart would literally Explode every few seconds, sensations coming up and exploding me entirely
Yet I still went through it and Trascended it with anger and pride, what are you gonna do God? heh!
here is what he did, I accidently ingested 10x the normal ketamine dose AGAIN, this time HELL 50x, Literally BLACKING OUT every few minutes, waking in Hell again and again! to blacking out, this continued for 30 FUCKING HOURS! you cannot make this shit up, I am not lying, it was Death ITSELF!
after that I was just dead for a month, not eating, no water, bad sleep, stomach and head pain
Yet I still transcended it but this time with surrender to God although I didn't still accept him/I/it, whatever it was
This Hell did not stop but kept going, I felt I was going against God himself and constantly fighting him and the demons in my head, I had entirely given up on Fang yuan and me
After that, I went through another mdma + lsd + shrooms trip, I found God again and repented but when he wanted me to dissolve in him, I refused Again, I will not return if I do not choose to!
Hell continued again, Anything I did, everything I valued, All my soul and blood was taken from me, catastrophy fell upon me till the point where there was no more "me"
Yet I saw here the wisdom and Cunningness of God, I had cut off all attachments, I had gone to the core of my being and cut everything till the last threads remained and then I cut those as well till nothing remains
Months have passed since then, I'm prepared for a New Showdown in the next coming days, I'm gonna fight God again and this time I WILL WIN!

Fighting God while taking drugs and inhabiting the spirit of Fang yuan

Taking drugs in a forest alone and feeling like a God with epic music on the background while on psychedelics
I felt that me and the world and the entire universe were created by God and that he was all moving them like puppets on a string, all imaginary in his own mind
and that I was the only One who was gonna rebel and refuse him, I was the one who was gonna transcend this world and everything and I was the One who was about to become God
I was moving with absolute confidence, I felt like I am God and the entire world was at my mercy
I felt that the spirit of Fang yuan wasn't just fighting Heaven's will but Gu zhu ren as well, the author himself and that the same way fang yuan was doing that, I the imaginary character was fighting against my author, God himself
I felt Fang yuan as this absolute spirit of Absolute freedom moving through me, I even stumbled in the outer of the forest and was moving near a highway and with cars all moving with all the noise and the possibility of being crushed at any moment coupled with the absolute Epic music, I felt like a God conquering everything and nothing could stand in front of me
That was It! I felt this absolute adrenaline and excitment flowing through my veins, and I heard this in my head "God alone exists, limitless, eternal, all-encompassing" and I was that!
and with the absolute excitment and otherwordly epic music I was transcending my individuality and becoming God and I felt all this energy flowing through me, Life itself, this absolute freedom and limitlesness!
I was absolutely Free!

Eternal Life is Real, I found it.

Here is Eternal life I offer to you for free, rare are the ones who will actually see it
You are not actually the avatar, neither your body nor mind
you are "Awareness"
You are just aware of a human being, aware of his thoughts and his action but you are not him
Imagine a Vr headset, thats kinda of how reality is, you watch a character in a movie but you think its you, I am here to show you True Reality
You are not the character in the game
rather you are God and you imagine the entire world and all the avatars including your own
In truth, the entire world has no reality, it is as unreal as a Dream, simply made out of God's imagination, In truth, I am You, You are Me
There is only one soul that experiences all lives, One Life that exists in everything
If you just put the ego, the character's personality in the trash it would be clearer
In truth, you are not touched by the character's sufferings, you just hear him and feel him but you are not affected, immovable
You already are Eternal, the entire world is merely a play plastered on a Stage, the play of life is an illusion, the stage is Real and Eternal
Here it is, Eternity without Effort, there was no need to chase eternity simply change the wrong view into the correct one
And realise that already Everything is God, the world is literally made out of Consciousness and the entire point of it is To Experience
To experience different forms, you are the dog, the cat, the tree, the sky, there is only one component to the world and that component is you
In the Vast Ocean of God, Bubbles of universes arises, linger and disappear
The Formless masquareding with forms and different masks
Throw all the masks and your godhood becomes clear, you create the world not the other way around
In truth, none of the imagination exists
There is Only God existing in nothingness, and that is who you are
Eternity itself, that is what you are!
you can't imagine using the Avatar's mind, you can try to bypass it and see it but it takes time, thats what enlightenement is

the Beauty of Existence
The fact That only this post was Not Banned
The fact that finally some positive interactions after lots of sufferings
And the fact that i accidently today took lsd out of nowhere
And the Fact that "We are God and this entire world is our game" flashed on while I was Despairing truly, while on lsd
I Swear to God, now I remember, I was made to forget
Especially since I thought these past few days that God was a Void of nothingness
and I saw it with such certainty that it put despair into my heart literally
And while I was despairing I saw the part where Light said "We are God, wake up" and it hits me like a truck and I remember it now
I remember Now! If you are still asleep by now, time to wake up
This Entire World is the Novel of God
Not gods, the One God, All Existence
I think God loves me for how much suffering I've been through, so much hatred in this sub
financial situation, literally him sending me Pain literally, Just understand I myself am a character without true volition, everything I say or do is a part of a script
And i fucking love playing my part
You would say you reek of ego but remember we all are God literally
its impossible to see it since all come from different parts and perspectives
All is One, a Story beautiful beyond description and we all characters within it
And I am fang yuan hahahaha
I know its all insane and crazy but just imagine what if?
what if?
what if?
what if, even if it was a miniscule chance
what if?
What if it all was true!
from my perspective, It is! and It is absolutely amazing and completely invigorated me and put fire in my soul, but from another it wouldnt make sense
but oh well one day you'll see...

The World Exists inside the Mind of God
Do you want the truth? Or stay in your bubble?
The World exists inside the Mind of God
The same way when you read a Novel, the Entire World is Inside your Mind
but you live as the character
so You are Fang yuan when you read Reverend insanity since its an imaginary character, you exist, fang yuan doesnt but you become him and he becomes real
Your imagination gave "words" Life and they became alive and became The gu world, fang yuan and all characters
In this same way, so is The world of human beings existing in the exact same way inside the timeless spaceless Mind of God
The Mind of God is Timeless because Time itself is a thought in this unlimited Mind
This Mind is Limitless since it can imagine anything effortlessly, It is Spaceless meaning existing before Space because it imagines it, It exists everywhere and nowhere and only It exists
God imagines our world and we all are imaginary characters and dont have a solid existence outside being imagined
But the same way you are Fang yuan when you read the story so I am and We all are actually God, God imagining and being his Imagination
we all are the One Mind that created the World but cannot see it because the same way when you read the character, you forget this world and live in the novel, so you forget who you are and become the character as is God's desire to experience existence gives birth to the world and all its forms
Reverend insanity is a story of just that, Pursuing one's birth right, Only an infinite Being originally would want to become infinite once being reduced to a finite being, it is a deep ingrained thing in our being
both Existence and Non-existence, Existence means life and being conscious, Non-existence describes something similar to the sleep state, if you notice deeply then you would see that Sleep is Void, there is no blackness or whiteness or anything, that's non-existence
Well, in Truth both existence and non-existence, conscious and sleep state are not real, The One that Is Aware of them IS THE REAL
Since God imagines these but they are not God! Not the True Reality
I can't describe what it is to reach Eternal Life thus paradoxical language used to try and approach it but it is true people have always wrong in assuming life or death exist since neither actually do since they are created (imagined), the one who is aware of them does, the One without cause, the Uncreated is the Real
God alone exists and we all are One, Immortal, imperishable!
There is no need to chase Eternal life, Eternity isnt something to attain
here is the Truth
There is no "me", there is no "you"
God alone exists and we are That!
Say it with me :
I am God, the self of all, of this there is no doubt.
I am One with no other, the only Truth, the single essence
I am Eternal, Formless, Solitary, Endless!
I alone exist! limitless, eternal, all-encompassing!
Truly I alone exist! all pervasive and never-ending!
Indeed, my nature is pure intelligence
I am infinite, immutable, deathless
I experience neither joy or sorrow
nor do I know to whom these might appear to exist
I have no beginning or end
I was never born and will never die
I am the Supreme Reality, forever whole and undivided
If God alone exists Limitless and Infinite
If It is the Ultimate Truth itself that is all pervading as Space
How can there be a higher Supreme truth?
I am neither alive nor lifeless
I neither come nor go
I have no inside or outside
Not bound by birth or death, I light Eternity!
Not bound by time or space, I light Eternity!
Not bound by being or non-being, I light Eternity!
Not subject to creation and destruction, I light Eternity!
Truly I alone exist, Limitless, Eternal, all encompassing!
so do these words reveal the Absolute Truth of Reality.

The moment you Realise God Consciousness, You will be Eternal

The Entire World is an illusion swirling in God
This world of duality appears to have substance
But the Moment that you realize that the body, the world, and all other appearances are unreal and empty like sky,
then you become Brahman.
The paradigm of duality no longer applies to you.
The Entire World is a mirage with no existence
God alone exists
The Moment you realise God, Eternal life is yours
In Self, there is no time, no space, no matter
There is no beginning, no middle, no end.
Realise That which is all pervading As Space and Which Contains the Entire Universe
Meditate on God as the Source of All Creation
The Entire world has never existed yet appears to exist, its an illusion
The Moment God Consciousness is realised, One finds Eternity
In God, there is only one thing
Immaculate Pure Being
Infinite, empty, clear like sky
It is beyond time and space
it is beyond existence
The moment you realise God Consciousness, You will be Eternal
You are done with birth and death.
This is the Absolute Truth of Reality.

2023.06.03 00:08 AfterTheCreditsRoll Season one thoughts…spoilers if you haven’t seen it.

I started watching Picard and just finished Season One. I liked it overall, and can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but there were three things that I just couldn’t get past in the season finale.
First, there’s no way that Narek was able to beat them to the Borg tunnel. They lost him on the way to Nemesis, and only chose a destination after picking up Soji and Picard. He was waiting right at the opening of the wormhole. How could Narek “follow their trajectory” when his last known info had them going nowhere near that Borg tunnel? A weak throwaway line to cover a major plot hole, IMO.
Second, the magic deus ex machina tool that Saga gives to Raffi to fix the ship. It is only limited by “imagination”?! A complete cop out to reference the Picard Maneuver in a wholly unsatisfying manner.
Lastly, did they really not tell Raffi, Rios, Elnor, and Seven, that even though Picard “died”, they were just going to bring him back? They just snuck off with his body and let the others go off to mourn somewhere? Really kind of killed the impact of their grief scenes.
Lastly part two: and then they just get everyone on the ship and it’s all hunky dory now? Seven is abandoning the xBs and the cube, Elnor has no cause, Jurati gets a pass for murdering Maddox, and no one - especially Rios - is mad at Picard for his fake “death”?
I’ve heard season two is weaker than one. I’m going to push through, because I’ve heard good things about season three.
Thanks for listening to my rant!

2023.06.03 00:06 lautaromassimino Fixing Netflix "Elite" (season 4-6). [English].

Seasons 1, 2 & 3's rewrite: https://www.reddit.com/EliteNetflix/comments/13yr0za/fixing_netflix_elite_season_13_english/
S4. Attempted assassination of Rebeka Bermujo Ávalos: “A very strict principal and four new students arrive at Las Encinas who attack with love entanglements, serious rumors and a mystery that has just come out of the oven”.
Season 4 Characters List:
  1. Samuel García Dominguez.
  2. Guzmán Nunier Osuna.
  3. Valerio Montesinos Rojas.
  4. Rebeka Parilla.
  5. Cayetana Grajera Pando.
  6. Christian Varela Expósito (recurrent).
  7. Nadia Shanaa (guest).
  8. Felipe Rosón Caleruega.
  9. Patrick Blanco Benavent.
  10. Ariadna Blanco Benavent.
  11. Mencía Blanco Benavent.
  12. Benjamín Blanco.
  13. Armando de la Ossa.
  1. Las Encinas is a bilingual school, but we never see another teacher speaking English (French in the English dubbing) again.
  2. The school competition with the Ivy League prize that Nadia and Lu compete for during the first three seasons is not mentioned again, when it is supposed to be something that is done every single year.
  3. In addition, from this season almost all the scenes are located almost exclusively inside the school, and we see very little about outdoor scenes, or the private lives of the characters. This is also a serious mistake, since that was what best allowed us to know each other's backgrounds, and create empathy with them.
Season 4 Scoop:
Ari, Patrick and Mencía:
Benjamín Blanco: The father of the new trio, and the new principal of Las Encinas, after Azucena's dismissal. In the middle of the season, we find out that he is actually Polo's uncle (his late wife was Begoña Benavent's sister). The compound last name of his children is Blanco Benavent, instead of Blanco Commerford.
Felipe Rosón Caleruega:
⠀⠀⠀ → We know that his father, Teodoro Rosón, after the end of Season 3 became the sole owner of the old company that he co-directed with Ventura Nunier (Guzmán's father) who was arrested at the end of S1 for embezzlement towards the School of San Esteban (the school from which Samu, Nadia and Christian received scholarships at the beginning of S1, after its collapse).
⠀⠀⠀ → We now learn that Teodoro plans to rebuild a Public School again on top of the ruins of San Esteban, this time by "legal means" to avoid the same fate as Ventura, but still solely for the economic purposes that would result from such construction, and a new scholarship program that this new school would have with Las Encinas.
⠀⠀⠀ → During the next season, the construction of this new institution would have finished, and we would have new scholarship recipients in Las Encinas, coming from this new school. This would be part of the "reboot" that the next generation would mean for Elite.
Rebeka (not Ari) is the main victim of the season:
Love triangle Samuel/Ari/Guzmán: It never happens.
⠀⠀⠀ → Samuel and Ari's relationship would not be there just as one more of the season, but would serve as an element for the plot: Ari would have approached Samuel after learning that he was Christian's close friend (the accused in Polo's murder) to try to obtain information. However, her feelings towards him would become true over the course of the season, thus seeing a kind of development in her character, which would allow the public to empathize with her.
Guzmán & Mencía: Both become close friends, based on how much Guzmán would see Marina in Mencía [For those who didn't know, Mencía was written as a reformulation of Marina's character, adapted to the needs of the new environment with this "new gen"].
As mentioned before, Philippe's character is eliminated as a new character: his plot was something very delicate that I think was not handled well, and in the future it would be remedied with the entry and development of Isadora's story. With Philippe gone, Cayetana's as his love interest is eliminated.
Patrick + Valerio:
Christian subplot:
Valerio's possible death?:
Armando's fate:
Guzmán drops out of school: At the end of the season, we see how he decides to join Nadia in the US.
Outcome of Ari-Samuel Subplot, linked to Polo:
T5. Murder of Samuel Garcia Dominguez: "Another semester begins in Las Encinas that brings new love triangles, new students, new rules... and a new crime that leaves everyone baffled".
Season 5 Characters List:
  1. Samuel García Dominguez.
  2. Rebeka Parilla.
  3. Cayetana Grajera Pando.
  4. Felipe Rosón Caleruega.
  5. Patrick Blanco Benavent.
  6. Ariadna Blanco Benavent.
  7. Mencía Blanco Benavent.
  8. Isadora Artiñán.
  9. Iván Carvalho.
  10. Cruz Carvalho.
  11. Benjamín Blanco.
Isadora & Iván's arrival: Elite timeline is confusing because Season 1 is supposed to pertain to an individual school year. Seasons 2 and 3 belong to two semesters of the same year, just like seasons 4 and 5. This would mean that Isadora and Iván would be entering Las Encinas in the middle of the semester, without any explanation. We could remedy this by giving him a simple explanation that would, incidentally, unite the two of them like the best friends T6 would have us believe they are, when we've barely seen too many interactions between them:
Patrick/Ari/Ivan triangle: It never happens.
Love triangle, Patrick-Felipe-Iván:
We would be introduced, in a secondary way, to some of the new characters of season 6 (in a similar way to how S6 gave us a first introduction to Sonia, a character signed as main for T7). Among them:
Graduation: Samuel and Rebeka officially graduate from Las Encinas, similar to what we saw for the rest of the characters in S3 (but without Valerio and Guzmán, as both would have dropped out in S4).
Samuel death: It would still happen, and it would still be at the hands of Benjamin. However, the reasons could turn out to be different:
T6. Ivan's accident, and subsequent coma: “After the death of a student, Las Encinas faces a new school year trying to have an image wash by covering up past disasters. The students try to achieve their goals, but will they all reach their goal alive?
Season 6 Characters List:
  1. Felipe Rosón Caleruega.
  2. Patrick Blanco Benavent.
  3. Ariadna Blanco Benavent.
  4. Mencía Blanco Benavent.
  5. Isadora Artiñán.
  6. Iván Carvalho.
  7. Nicolás “Nico” Fernandez.
  8. Dídac.
  9. Sara.
  10. Rocío.
  11. Raúl.
  12. Cruz Carvalho.
The season begins three months after the murder of Samuel and the imprisonment of Benjamín Blanco.
The events of season 6 happen in a very similar way to what we originally saw, since that season was thought of as a reboot of the show, and it returned to recover all the vibes of the first generation. As I mentioned in the S4 section, at this point the sexual morbidity of the show was greatly reduced, and at all times there was a great feeling of togetherness, even with the new characters (something that, I dare say, we had never had before in Elite, not even with the original gen).
Isadora's plot:
Cruz Calvalho's plot: the hate crime plot against Cruz is also removed…
Relationships of the season, without too many changes:
We would still have the departure of the Blanco siblings for the end, but this time, it would NOT be having "reconciled" with their father.
Knowing that Iván's character is still signed for S7 (unlike Patrick; this is confirmed by Manu's absence at the beginning of the season recordings), we could achieve a fitting ending for this couple by using a Short Story between Seasons 6 and 7.
Anddddddd here it is! My take for a rewrite of this show, which I feel started at the top of everything and gradually went down in quality, although it still has a lot of potential. I'm proud of how all six seasons turned out as a whole, though I still feel like these last three seasons feel a bit incomplete compared to the first ones. So what do you guys think? Would you add or take away something that I added? Did you like the changes? I'm new here, and this is my first real post on reddit, so I'd really appreciate your feedback ^-^

2023.06.03 00:05 lautaromassimino Fixing Netflix "Elite" (season 1-3). [English].

S1: Murder of Marina Nunier Ozuna: "Three young people from the working class attend one of the most exclusive schools in Spain, where the clash with the children of the elite ends in tragedy."
No notable changes. Overall, the season was well written, and it serves as the foundation for future seasons.
S2. Disappearance of Samuel García Dominguez: “After the death of a classmate, a student goes missing, loyalties change, new friends join the drama, and dark secrets come to light.”
This would be where the big changes from the original season would begin. Personally, I actually liked what Elite did with this season, in general, except for one small detail: CHRISTIAN SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON THE SHOW. And yes, I understand that it was due to Miguel Herrán's agenda, but literally his character (along with Samu and Nadia's) are the main engines of S1. All three were mainstay characters, and Christian's departure felt too forced on the series because of the way it was handled. If there was a contract involved, the actor should have taken it into account and fulfilled at least the third season that closed "the first cycle" of Elite. Following this idea, these are the ways I think Christian's presence would have affected the story:
⠀⠀⠀ → In this sense, we could have a rapprochement between Christian & Lucrecia, which yes, might seem far-fetched, but... if someone had mentioned the possibility of Samuel & Carla during T1, wouldn't it have seemed ridiculous too?
⠀⠀⠀ → In a way, this would mean that Christian would almost completely take over Valerio's role in Season 2, being Lu's love interest (without the incest part), and with the possibility of further exploring his bisexuality (remember: Valerio ends up in a relationship of three between Cayetana and Polo).
⠀⠀⠀ → The Christian/Lu relationship would add more pressure to the fracture that they show us that the friendship between Carla and Lu is going through this season.
⠀⠀⠀ → This also remains with the idea that the 3 new ones from S1 become romantically involved with three members of the "elite" (Samuel/Marina, Nadia/Guzmán, and now, Christian/Lucrecia).
⠀⠀⠀ → I would make this relationship happen very slowly, with maybe just a few scenes of them in Season 2, and the actual romantic relationship only for the next season. The reason for this is that part of Lu's plot in S2 is to help Guzmán through his grief over Marina (remember: Guzmán toying with the idea of killing himself during S1, and Lu “saves” him).
⠀⠀⠀ → Christian's tenure would eliminate Valerio's character appearance this season, as he was added as Lu's love interest.
Ander and Omar would end their relationship between the beginning and the middle of this season.
S3. Murder of Polo Benavent Villada: “A new investigation begins following the murder of another student. The student body thinks about his future, but the consequences of the past still haunt him ”.
This would be Valerio's introduction season, but not as Lu's love interest. His plot would revolve almost entirely around drug abuse, and the consequences that this brings to him and those around him. Lu would be one of those affected, yes, because she would continue being his sister, but she would not be the only one: Polo, Cayetana and Carla would be the other three people with whom Valerio would interact the most, and therefore those who would end up most affected, due to his shits.
Yeray does NOT appear as a new character: The function that this character originally fulfilled in the story (of leading Carla to start using drugs) would be given to Valerio.
It would be Omar (not Nadia) who would meet Malick at his parents' supermarket, the first time:
Christian and Lu would end their relationship, to give her that empowering ending that she originally had, of "I don't need any man to be happy". The end of them, perhaps it could be an echo to what we originally had from Carla and Samuel, at the end of this season.
After her breakup with Omar in the middle of the previous season, Ander does NOT have another love interest during this season.
Guzman, Rebeka, Samuel, Cayetana and Valerio (in place of Omar and Ander) remain in the show, booked to appear in season 4. Caye still retains her role, not as a student, but as a new cleaning staff at Las Encinas.
Polo's murderer: Lucrecia Montesinos Hendrich.
  1. One is the one we know, where Christian would join the rest of the group to protect Lu.
  2. The other, would run following the plot he would have been having since the end of S1, after witnessing Marina's blood on Polo's clothes: Christian couldn't deal with the weight of another death on his conscience*, it would be too much to bear. he. In the season finale, we could see him torn between his instinct to protect Lu, and the conflict of understanding that this would mean doing exactly what Carla did to protect Polo; understand the reasons why she would have done so.*

2023.06.03 00:04 dragon12emperors Sympathies

Before I say my take: I'm NOT making excuses, as someone with various mental, emotional, and health issues(as well as my family having the same issues PLUS financial issues I will tale offended)
It is wrong to(while obviously feeling obviously bad for the peasants) to sympathize with the Queen??? Especially her family
I namely feel bad cause
  1. For a "France 🇫🇷 free of the monarchy " they sure know how to rig trials(modern estimates say she would have been exiled) her trial wasn't fair & the "evidence" was 100% falsified
  2. The things done to her family(namely her children) are.......appalling to say the least
  3. I simply think she should have been shipped back off to Austria 🇦🇹 during her trial, she was dying of ovarian cancer it's not like she would have harmed anyone than(she would have most likely gotten cancer regardless of the revolution)
  4. Realistically to say she was worse than louie the 14th is kinda idiotic(dude literally bankrupt France building Versailles i believe) I've seen people compare her to hitler for christs sake
  5. I can't help but veiw her as a loving mother as well(like any mother she must have suffered from the knowledge terrible things were done to them)
Thats it, nothing more or less

2023.06.03 00:04 Peacewalker42 A question for starving souls....

People who give good reasoning and relevant excerpts will perhaps be given preferential observation.... just saying.

2023.06.03 00:00 Sacesss [Spoilers EXTENDED] Harry the Heir's fate

Harrold Hardyng, the heir to Robert Arryn's throne, is one of the new characters we'll meet in The Winds of Winters.
He's been introduced by Littlefinger and the Lord Declarant in AFFC, Alayne I. We meet him in TWOW, Alayne I, as he comes to the to the Gates of the Moon, for the tourney for the Brotherhood of Winged Knights.
I think Harry's bound to die in the upcoming tournament in the Vale organised by Alayne and Littlefinger, and in this post I'll highlight some hints that foreshadow Harry's ill fate.

Harry is a Knight of Summer

Harry the Heir is often described as a poor jouster, an upjumped squire who isn't on the level to be a knight.
"Our cousin Bronze Yohn had himself a mêlée at Runestone,” Myranda Royce went on, oblivious, “a small one, just for squires. It was meant for Harry the Heir to win the honors, and so he did.”
“Harry the Heir?”
“Lady Waynwood’s ward. Harrold Hardyng. I suppose we must call him Ser Harry now. Bronze Yohn knighted him."
AFFC, Alayne II
So, Bronze Yohn organised a tourney for him and then personally knighted him, this tells us the tourney was a farce to win Harry to his side by creating a mentor-mentee relationship.

Lord Belmore laughed. "I never thought Royce would let him come. Is he blind, or merely stupid?"
"He is honorable. Sometimes it amounts to the same thing. If he denied the lad the chance to prove himself, it could create a rift between them, so why not let him tilt? The boy is nowise skilled enough to win a place amongst the Winged Knights."
"I suppose not," said Belmore, grudgingly. Lord Grafton kissed Alayne on the hand, and the two lords went off, leaving her alone with her lord father.
TWOW, Alayne I
Littlefinger himself believes Harry's got no chance in the tourney.

Near the keep, she ran headlong into Ser Lothor Brune and almost knocked him off his feet. "Harry the Heir? Harry the Arse, I say. He's just some upjumped squire."
Ser Lothor Brune agrees with the feeling as well.

Sansa's wish

Sansa, after being offended by Harry, wishes about a situation which may occur during the joust, that sees Harry falling from his horse and hitting his head.
A lady's armor is her courtesy. Alayne could feel the blood rushing to her face. No tears, she prayed. Please, please, I must not cry. "As you wish, ser. And now if you will excuse me, Littlefinger's bastard must find her lord father and let him know that you have come, so we can begin the tourney on the morrow." And may your horse stumble, Harry the Heir, so you fall on your stupid head in your first tilt. She showed the Waynwoods a stone face as they blurted out awkward apologies for their companion. When they were done she turned and fled.
TWOW, Alayne I
This wouldn’t be the first time Sansa wishing harm on someone, and later that wish coming true:
Frog-faced Lord Slynt sat at the end of the council table wearing a black velvet doublet and a shiny cloth-of-gold cape, nodding with approval every time the king pronounced a sentence. Sansa stared hard at his ugly face, remembering how he had thrown down her father for Ser Ilyn to behead, wishing she could hurt him, wishing that some hero would throw him down and cut off his head.
AGOT, Sansa VI
This comes true when Jon, her brother, beheades Janos Slynt at the Wall.

Tourney at Ashford Meadow

We've met an Hardyng knight before. It was ser Humphrey Hardying, one of the knights who partecipated in Dunk's trial of Seven at Ashford Meadow. Considering the parallels Sansa's story and the upcoming tourney in the Vale have with Ashford, Harry's tourney may be a callback to his ancestor's.

Robert's fate

Possibly a minor detail, but Robert Arryn being constantly described as weak and sick, is what leads many fans to think he'll be still alive for the endgame of ADOS, and id he's alive, Harry doesn't have much space in the story.
“And I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples and bastards and broken things.”

His name/moniker

Harry the Heir's moniker is "Young Falcon". The two other characters presented with a similar nickname, Daeron I Targaryen and Robb I Stark, never saw their 20s. The other character with a similar name, Young Griff, isn't long for the world either. So it surely brings an aura of death with it.
His House name is Hard-dying, knowing GRRM love for ironies that's enough prove for him to bite the dust in a not so hard way.

His behaviour and character

Harry's a smug, arrogant and uncaring young boy, and that's exactly the type of character that GRRM would have die a stupid death.
He insults Alayne for being a bastard, while he hastwo bastards of his own with two different women. He's also abandoned the mother of his daughter Alys, Cissy, because pregnancy made her fat.
Near the keep, she ran headlong into Ser Lothor Brune and almost knocked him off his feet. "Harry the Heir? Harry the Arse, I say. He's just some upjumped squire."
"Come," Petyr said, "walk with me." He took her by the arm and led her deeper into the vaults, past an empty dungeon. "And how was your first meeting with Harry the Heir?"
"He's horrible."
TWOW, Alayne I

Parallel to similar vale knights

Ser Hugh of the Vale (another “H” name) at the Hand’s tourney, in AGOT. He was squire to Jon Arryn and knighted prematurely by Robert Baratheon in honor of his late Hand. He is described as “arrogant as only a new-made knight can be.” He arrives at the tourney in shiny new plate and he’s sporting the Arryn colors and crescent moons on his cloak, an association he has no direct claim to as with Harry’s quartered sigil. While facing the Mountain, Ser Hugh meets his end at the tip of a lance to the throat where his gorget was loose. Sansa sees Ser Hugh’s crescent moons soak through with blood.
Sansa notes that no songs will be sung to remember young men like Ser Hugh. Throughout Asoiaf, there’s a recurring sense of wasted youth and potential caused by the pursuit of useless things, like tourneys, as noted by Cat when she meets Renly's host, describing his men as "Knights of Summer". It’s tragic and it fits well with the decadent feasting of the Vale tourney, all on the cusp of a Winter that demands austerity and following a war that, despite leaving the neautral Vale untouched, has destroyed the continent. Ser Hugh’s death almost certainly foreshadows a blood-soaked Vale, and blood will flow during the tourney.
Ser Waymar Royce, son of Bronze Yohn Royce, leads a ranging mission north of the Wall in AGOT, Prologue. He is a young and handsome knight, and he’s Sansa’s first mentioned crush in the series. He’s an arrogant, over privileged, know-it-all teenager who mocks his more experienced companions. Although he redeems his attitude in his death moment by confronting

Sansa's path

Without going too much in details, while AGOT-ACOK have been her coming up with reality books (already from Sansa II, AGOT, her perspectives change), and ASOS-AFFC her learning books (both in King's Landing and in the Vale), TWOW-ADOS will be the books where Sansa puts in practice her knowledge and ability. She'll have to get out of LF's shadow and end him.
Considering Petyr's plans have almost all gone smoothly till now, it's normal that TWOW will mark an inversion of route for him, and losing Harry in the tourney while poisoning Robert may not be ideal for the relationships with Anya Waynwood and Bronze Yohn.

TL;DR: Hints that foreshadow why Harry the Heir will meet his end during the joust of the upcoming tourney in the Vale

Thanks for reading, let me know if you think there are other clues towards or against this theory.

2023.06.02 23:58 Drakolf TftM- Murder Planets:

Murder Planets were a logistical nightmare, and were heavily regulated. It didn't matter if you were some entrepreneur wanting to adapt an ancient bloodsport for the modern era or a psychopath willing to risk life and limb to kill another person, you had to go through customs before you were allowed to be set free on the planet without repercussion.
Many members of the more carnivorous species attempted to play dumb when it came to visitation, trying to ignore that stadium seating was legally considered a 'safe zone', or that specific embassy locations were meant to be a safe place for prey to escape to.
There was no thrill of the hunt if victory was assured, after all.
Humanity was the most vocal against the concept, citing it as just 'Purging', though most species didn't get the reference, and those who did countered that, yes, that was basically what it was, so why are they complaining?
Even the herbivores agreed with the rest of the galaxy, some were adrenaline junkies looking for the ultimate high, pain and the chance of death only made things better, those who survived often befriended the person who just moments before tried to kill and eat them. Some Humans even joined in on the fun, usually as the predator, one that was horrifically efficient even to the eyes of the rest of the galaxy.
Rarely was it when a Human was prey.
Grahim was not allowed on the hunt, David had expressly forbidden him from attending, stating he didn't want him getting hurt, not when he couldn't guarantee his survival, not like on Caniti Grau.
They had met a trio of Canicians on the planet, in a hunting lodge, Grahim wanted to go to boast about his kills and wrestle with the other hunters without worrying too much about accidentally killing his companion.
David wasn't concerned with being the only Human in the hunting lodge, being a doctor, he had more than his fair share of belligerent Canician patients who didn't realize he was their final straw, that he was the only one willing to work with them, and if they managed to piss him off, their next serious injury would likely be their last.
The jokes cast at his expense were quickly cut off by Grahim's warning growl, the big old fluffy murderball was highly protective, he didn't care about his reputation, as long as his companion remained unmolested. It was that trio that pressed on in spite of his warnings.
"Look, the little hunter wants to protect his pet!" The first one chided.
"Stop playing with your food, pup! This lodge is for proud Caniti, not pretenders!" The second one barked.
The third was the one that approached David, licking his chops and very intent on eating David. "I'll eat it if you won't."
"Harm one hair on my companion, and I'll tear your intestines our of your anus!" Grahim had threatened.
Three against one isn't favorable odds, the trio rounded on Grahim and attacked, it took the rest of the lodge to pull them off, Grahim was still standing, if severely wounded. David patched him up, the trio mocked him for having a medic.
"If you touch my companion again, I will ensure you learn why you should fear medics." David stated. The trio never backed down from a challenge, which is why Grahim paced nervously as his companion was flown down to the deathworld, alone.
Only proud Caniti were worthy of Caniti things, that was the raison d'etre the trio of Caniti supremacists. They had mocked Grahim as he demanded to be at his companion's side, only to be gently rebuffed and forbidden to follow.
"You would be angry with me if I interfered with your own hunt, Grrhaf, just trust me on this."
The rules were simple: The Human would choose a spot on the planet to land, the Caniti would land a short distance away, and they would start tracking the Human. The Human would not be required to kill, to abide by his Hippocratic oath- which the trio disparaged as a coward's oath- and the hunt would end when one side was either incapacitated, or dead.
Naturally, the event was televised. The trio wanted to use it as a launching point for their racist and hateful rhetoric, David simply used what little air time was dedicated to him to simply smile and say he looked forward to winning.
Grahim paced nonetheless, eyes glued on the holoscreen that depicted what was surely his companion's last moments in the galaxy.
The showrunners only gave David a single camera, mostly to give the viewers the vicarious sense of chasing down prey. When David stayed at his landing site, picking up sticks and cutting them, the view was automatically shrunk to give more space for the trio, who were just beginning their descent.
"You look worried." Grahim looked at the Human who had approached him. "Never thought I'd see a Canician worried for the prey."
"The prey is my companion." Grahim replied. "He refused to allow me to accompany him."
The Human nodded. "He probably didn't want you getting caught on the traps." Grahim looked at the Human, who looked... ecstatic. He knew no Human would enjoy watching their own being brutally mauled to death unless if was clearly a horror movie.
The Trio landed, they headed for David's landing spot. The room was silent, most wondering how the hunters would react to their prey sitting in the open, few had paid attention to what he was doing.
"Look!" One of the trio barked. "The prey wants to be devoured!" The trio rushed forward, and then there was the sound of a snap as all three were caught in a grass net. David didn't move, he simply observed as the Caniti cut themselves out of the net. They collided with the ground, which them broke away underneath them, leading into a pit.
The room was silent, shocked. The trio were scrambling at the sides, the loosened dirt giving no purchase as they struggled to climb out of the pit. David faced the camera. "They're still in a fighting mood, I'll wait to see if they can actually get out." The words were cold, chilling even to Grahim.
The Human beside him simply laughed. "When you know how your prey is going to act, you don't need to do anything special. A net, pulling you over a pit, on top of some other basic hunting traps." The Human's grin sent a chill down Grahim's spine. "Even if those poor pups get out, the hunt's only just begun."
Eventually, the trio put their heads together and made a Canician ladder, allowing one of them to get out and pull another out. They didn't have enough to get their third out, not that it mattered, they still had a clear line of sight on their prey.
The snap of bone as one of the hunter's legs slipped into a hole, their forward momentum putting too much stress on it, pierced the silence of the room.
"Your Human oath is to not harm!" The remaining hunter barked.
"Just like the Geneva Convention only really applies to those who sign it, the Hippocratic Oath only applies when the medic isn't going to be killed." David stated. "I won't kill you, but I'll sure as hell make you wish I did."
The Canician slowly approached David, ignoring the pained whimpers of his incapacitated ally and the demands to know what was going on by the other. It became clear there were no more traps, the Canician charged at David and tackled him. David stepped out of the overgrowth behind the dummy, naked as the day he was born, a syringe in his hand, one that he expertly poked into the Canician's body.
"I've just injected you with a Class B paralytic, in one hour, every muscle in your body will grow still. you already feel your limbs stiffening, don't you?" The Canician struggled to push himself up. "I will see you three in the medical bay, we're done here..."
There was, of course, an uproar, mostly Humans cheering, some were Canicians who declared it an unfair fight- which Grahim was quick to point out that three against one was inherently unfair, and not even the mark of a good hunter when there was only one prey.
The next time Grahim saw his companion, it was in the medical bay, having treated the trio for the injuries they sustained, and putting the third on life support until the paralytic ran its course. The other doctors gave him a small berth, they didn't approve of his actions, or his words, but they understood the circumstances required a certain degree of ruthlessness.
Grahim picked up his companion, hugged him with an appropriate level of strength, and poked his cheek with the tip of his snout in a 'kiss'.
"Let's go home, Grahim, we still have two days of vacation time, and I just want a nap."
"Of course." Grahim replied. He was so proud of his Human.

Dr. Buttar, who died suddenly at May 18,2023, left his last words: Vaccines in a dormant state may be activated by 5G frequencies,And broke out in the form of hemorrhagic Marburg virus! ! ! 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Of course there will be a second wave, and that will come from the vaccine. This will be further exacerbated by the introduction of new technology, namely 5G. They introduce other ingredients through vaccines and boosters, we've all heard about nanotechnology, spike proteins, graphene oxide, etc. When they come together will be the trigger, which will cause these sleeping cells in your body to wake up. It's like a payload where when there's an explosion, you have a truck or a trailer with a bunch of dynamite or explosives on it, they call it a payload. It is designed to provide massive bursts or detonations. It will be a huge hit. So there will be a payload with some type of pathogen, activated by a sequence, a 5G burst. These will basically be three consecutive pulses at a frequency of 16 to 18 gigahertz, lasting a minute. These pulses will actually generate a signal that will release the payload in the hydrogel component of the vaccine. When that happens, then every vaccinated person will have Marburg released in their body and it will probably be 100% fatal. And when that happens, not hundreds of thousands, but millions of people around the world will die. Most horrifying of all, these mass deaths will be the beginning of a chain of events. Once these cells burst and unleash a Marburg outbreak, the CDC and WHO will take control of the world because there is a lot of death going on.
Editorial: Is this video the reason why Dr. Buttar was killed? 😱
(The exact information is subject to the original video! 🙏)

2023.06.02 23:57 Drakolf TftM- The Taming of the Caniti:

The average Canician was at least twice the size of the average Human. Bristling with flesh-tearing fangs, razor-sharp claws that were capable of rending entire limbs off most denizens of the galaxy, and a libido that allowed them to develop a culture around hunting, killing, and maiming not only their prey, but themselves due to being able to outbreed their own insatiable bloodlust.
First Contact with humanity was the normal affair of declaring war just to have a pretense to see what new dishes their meat would make, they hadn't expected Humanity to hit them as hard as they could, unleashing the most terrible weapons of mass destruction on their people.
The Canicians saw this, and knew this tiny, frail species were kindred, not-meat, and as the atomic dust settled, they reached out for peace, something they only ever did when they had their fun.
The galactic community had been utterly shocked when Humanity accepted the Canicians' surrender, and proved themselves equally politically vicious when it came to settling wars, not only forcing Canicians to abide by their rules of war, but declaring to the Council that if the rest didn't follow suit, they would have zero protection from Humanity or the Canicians if they decided to declare war.
Caniti-Grau was once a barren wasteland. Once a garden world that evolved the galaxy's most insatiable murderballs of death, the Canicians had stripped it of all its natural resources and built the Hedron, originally a Canician death cannon turned into a central trading hub between all of the species of the galaxy.
Humanity was the one that breathed life back into it, seeded it with life, turned it into a world teeming with dangerous flora and fauna. The perfect world for a Canician to hunt, and a much-needed vacation for Grahim.
An ambassador on the Hedron, the past few weeks had taken their toll on the poor guy's mental health, least of all from having to suppress his normally violent nature. For all the benefit that Humanity brought them, they had effectively clipped their claws, made the other species more confident in refusing them.
It frustrated his people to no end, yet they realized this was what they had wanted ever since they took to the stars- Someone willing to fight back, someone willing to say no and mean it, because as humiliating as it was to have one's proposals ignored without consideration, it did mean that Grahim was able to look it over and realize how absolutely stupid it was.
That didn't change the fact that he had the need to fling his entire self at a Vargal and maul it to death before feasting on its entrails.
"How much of that blood is yours?" David asked as his companion dragged the shredded corpse to him. Unflappable, while the Human doctor didn't cringe at the sight of blood, he didn't necessarily like it, nor was he a fan of violence and bloodsport.
Grahim rolled his shoulders, popping a few joints and worsening some of his wounds in the process. He grinned, his eyes full of life. "I'm not dead, that's all that matters, Grrhaf." The Canician replied.
"I'll get the hose." David was good at hiding the worry in his voice. Canicians had evolved to be hard to kill. Humans, omnivorous, physically weak, and as absolutely insane as his own species could be, were the only species universally agreed to be their apex predator. Grahim loved the chills that went down his spine at the thought.
David returned with a hose connected to heated water, the smell of blood was lessened, replaced by the thick musk of wet Canician. He had at least three serious gashes, two bites, and to Grahim's concern, at least one gouge that was actually pretty close to a major artery. David didn't waste time. He took out his surgical tools, cleaned Grahim's injuries, and stitched them up before applying the medical gel that almost instantly healed the wounds.
"The stitches will dissolve in a week." David said, trying his hardest to hide his concern. He looked at his wrist-mounted holodeck, checking the nanites in Grahim's bloodstream for any internal damage. It was all minimal, nothing serious required. "Do you need to hunt some more, or are we good?"
"We're good." Grahim replied before stepping away to shake himself dry. "Though, there is one bit of prey I'd like to conquer." He added with a smirk.
David's brow raised, a coy smile played on his lips. "Are we using the cattle prod, or are we sticking with the spear?" He asked, glancing down.
"Tempting, but spear hunting will have to suffice." Grahim replied. He approached David as menacingly as he could, rested his finger underneath the soft human's chin, and gently pushed it up. "I want a struggle." He said.
David immediately took Grahim's hand and pulled him into their recreational ship.
Euphemisms aside, they both enjoyed their vacation, Grahim was perfectly capable of gentleness, vulnerability, especially under the skilled fingers of the doctor. The Canician led out a contented growl as David lightly ran his fingers through the fur on his head and belly.
David smiled adoringly at his insane murderball of a companion. He was still getting used to their psychology, but for a brief moment, watching him fight the Vargal, he felt a rush of that same excitement.

2023.06.02 23:56 I_am_Fang_Yuan_ Reverend insanity is the Pinnacle of human achievement. Period.

I've read tens of chinese novels, english novels and books, read endless manga, anime and even philosophical books of human philosophers and even religious scriptures
Yet Nothing, nada, nothing reaches the ankle of Reverend insanity.
This Novel is not a book, its a Sacred scripture, no joke.
Whenever I read any story or philosophical enquiry, I always have to brace for disappointment, I've had this with how much? 9 or 10 chinese novels, with shitty endings or deteriorating middle way, tens of english novels and books who started well but I am always left disappointed
Its like I am reading books written by stupid people or people who never put their Being into their work
That was until I put my hand on the Absolute Masterpiece called : Reverend insanity.
This Novel is the Mona lisa of novels.
Everything in this novel is Perfect. Period.
It encapsulates everything, it takes the entirety of Human myths, philosophical thoughts, the deepest questions of existence and sculptes it into a perfect sculpture, a perfect representation of the deepest human desires of transcendence
the same way a master sculptor can take a normal rock and turn it into a Masterpiece that moves your very soul
Reverend insanity moved my soul, it didnt just move me, it changed me completely
It overturned my world, it changed my perspective on human existence, on how the world came into being
it made me into a philosopher asking the deepest questions possible to a human mind and striving to answer the deepest mysteries of existence
It woke me up from Ordinary abyss in which human beings live in
This Story is simply the Pinnacle of human achievement.
Its insanely deep that most ordinary readers will probably never be able to dig deep enough to appreciate the Immense wisdom this novel offers or are too stupid to notice the subtleties and understand the underlying meaning nor think about the Philosophy of human existence
Just the Poems alone are Supreme, superb, a work of perfection.
“Infinite brilliance in the mortal realm, to the ends of the world the skies and seas stretch beyond. As the winds blow my ashes back to the earth, it is incomparable to the shining moon in the reflection of the water!” Bai Ning Bing recited a poem with a faint smile
"Forever been the Dao-seeking crazed demon, Looking up towards life, death and the universe, Through a million years of accumation, On this day, Limitless achieves True Eternal life"
"In my youth, I shined in the light of spring, horses trampled on flowers as fragrance of wine spread, love and hatred came with the waves, summer cicadas sing as I wake up in the middle of the night. Planting red lotuses in the river of time, going back until my tears run dry. Through the vicissitudes of life, I return to this stage, the myriad being anticipate a life unbound by Fate!"
Just look at these poems, how can one not be moved, I remember reading this with swaying willows and just being in awe of the beauty of these poem
And this is just talking about side characters
I still have not started talking about Fang yuan
Fang yuan is just...
I kneel
I give up
Fang yuan cannot be described.
Fang yuan is the Spirit of Humanity.
Fang yuan is the fire that burns everything.
The Absolute struggle, the blood, the tears, the catastrophies that keep befalling him endlessly
Yet Fang yuan never gives up, not a single doubt crosses his mind, this guy is the Pinnacle of what a human being can become
He transcends everything
the Entire expanse of wordly sufferings causes no ripple in him
The Entire expanse of wordly pleasure do not tempt him
The Entire expanse of worldly fear causes no ripple in him
Even if the Entire world rallied against him
Fang yuan would remain indifferent, untouched, unmoved, undisturbed
Fang yuan transcends life and death and humanity itself
Fang yuan is the Absolute Existence to which everything strives to become
Just how many trials and catastrophies have befallen him, how many times has he faced Absolute Despair?
impossible to count, the amount of despair and catastrophies that have shaped Fang yuan to be who he is are simply impossible for a human being to bear
To have the Supreme courage to give up on Everything and Pursue the One True Goal thats worth it : Eternal Life
To go against Fate, the Entire World and have no mercy.
To be Ruthless against everyone and especially to himself.
How much suffering has Fang yuan gone through in his first 500 years of life to become what he is, simply unimaginable
Fang yuan is simply the most inspiring existence ever
Fang yuan is the manifestation of Supremacy, if there was a True God, he would be like Fang yuan
His poems are breath of fresh air, a manifestion of Perfection
His Poems encapsulate so much Wisdom, so much Intelligence, that it puts you in awe
I am moved beyond words
Just the Legends of Renzu contains so much wisdom and insights into Human Existence and the human condition
This Novel is simply the manifestation of Absolute Perfection.
