I’ve been hit with severe vertigo the last few days. Like, can’t sit up without feeling like I’m on a boat in the middle of a storm level vertigo. I tried to make it through my shift today despite it but now I feel like my SSV is more angry with me even though I warned her at the beginning of the shift I was experiencing this and I might have to leave early if it gets worse. I ended up knocking a few drinks over, which wasn’t so bad until I nearly knocked a black brewed coffee on to a customer. I felt like I was going to pass out the whole time I was there.
I feel so bad because we are understaffed and it was crazy today but I just hit my limit. I didn’t feel like I was safe on the floor. The discussion actually started when a partner of mine mentioned to my shift that I had asked for her to cover me for a few minutes so I could have a glass of water and a sit in the back for a minute to see if it would pass. I wanted to try and stick it out because I didn’t want to leave my team short handed but my shift said I had to make a decision now because people were leaving. So I decided to leave because I didn’t know if it would get any worse. I was having trouble standing this morning and if it gets to that point again I didn’t want to screw over the team. But now I’m feeling so guilty. It feels like a catch-22 of disappointing people, and it’s not like vertigo is a food borne illness so it feels so stupid to have to leave over.
What is the best way to handle that situation? Is it better to just call out and not try? Did I handle it appropriately going until I felt it risked the safety of myself and others? Is it even an appropriate reason to leave over since it’s not contagious?

So for those of that have been following along, my wife confessed on May 23rd of having an 8 month affair with her coworker. Even after confessing, she still professed her love for him and wanted to continue seeing him. So my response was to retain a attorney for $5000 and file for divorce. I will also be nailing her ass for alimony payments as well. Strangely enough right after I filed she suddenly had an epiphany and came running back to me, wanting to make things better and work on our relationship, I told her I would think about it but I wasn’t sure. The only reason I gave her that response is because I wanna keep her in good standing while I’m still processing this divorce but let it be known the divorce is happening there’s no going back it’s a final decision for me. She doesn’t know that I filed for divorce and I plan on keeping that way just so I can keep it amicable until we can get the house sold but she’s going to get served around 1 September and then I’ll Hells going to break loose but it doesn’t really matter to me. I’ve made my decision I plan to move on with my life, and I suggest anybody else who’s been in the situation do the same. I will keep you posted as more progress happens.

My high school and college experiences were awful. I never want to read a book again. Being near schools gives me anxiety. Somehow, the Akademiya feels like the alternate reality in which school could be Good. The idea of researching, being surrounded by passionate scholars, taking on big projects, the uniforms, the student days that the characters refer back to. The different darshans and studying under renowned professors that have actually made generational impact. I love hearing characters talk about their Akademiya experiences (tho it's obviously a flawed institution). Logically I can grasp that these things can exist irl but they only appeal to me in the context of this game and it makes me sad. I can't connect the passion to irl, but I feel like if I could maybe my experience would have been better. Of course a pretty anime-esque rpg game will romanticize anything and make it cool but in this instance the things that appeal to me about the Akademiya are not fantasy constructs but qualities that exist irl. Idk if I'm making sense, just wondering if it's the same for anyone else, or even the opposite where it's completely unappealing.

I currently have a Kona Big Honzo and I want to upgrade to a 29er. I’m a bigger guy so I feel the 29 would help me a lot. Yes I know the honzo could swap to a 29 and that’s one of my options but the bike feels like a major lug going up hill and was at least looking for some insight on if throwing 29s on it would make it any better for climbing.
The trails I usually ride are a solid 50/50 mix of uphill pedaling and downhill so something that pedals nice uphill would be nice but I do still like the flow of downhill so I’d sacrifice a little of the uphill if need be. I usually ride about 12 miles every time I go. I might occasionally go to a local downhill park but not often; maybe once or twice a year if that. Price range is about $2,000 US and was mostly looking at hardtail but I’d heavily consider a good quality full squish in the $2500 range if such a thing exists. The bikes I’ve been eyeing the most are the Nukeproof Scout, Santa Cruz Chameleon, or the Devinci Kobain. Any help is much appreciated!

I created a One App Free in 2019 for Subscription app and the system added by default Sales and Accounting app. I have upgraded 3 mayor versions and several minor ones. I have had 10 support tickets and none of them told me I was not in complain with the One Free App forever and unlimited free tier. Well first they accused me that I had installed an additional app. After opening a new Ticket Support another staff called KaYa explicitly told me that I installed the Accounting App. After showing her Support Tickets dated from July 2022 and screenshots of the Accounting App from February 2022 and invoices as far as 2020 in the same screenshot they tell me that they apologize for the inconvenience (not so for insulting and treating their customers as trash) but for fairness to other customers that I must uninstall the Accounting app. I have reports from the Upgrades from version 13 to 14, to 15 and 16 and no reports informs me that I am not in complain. Does anyone feel or have any kind of issues with Odoo Online, I always had such a high value for them but this ruined it all. Are they becoming greedy?
What would you do in this situation?

Hello! I've always been an overthinker with an anxious nature but now I really feel that I need to take some serious measures to cope with work-related stress but I don't know how to do it.
Some background: I started working at an IT company as a consultant about 8 months ago. I was super excited about the job because they hired me as a junior with no prior expereince with the specific IT product, the vision was that I will learn everything on the job - an amazing opportunity.
Now, 8 months later, I already got myself close to a burnout once a few months ago - not because my job/workload is unmanagable but because I can't manage my getting stressed. The biggest challenge for me at this job are the many, many certifications that we need to acquire. As soon as I started the job, my first task was to start peparing for the first fundamental certification which is sooo vast and extremely difficult to prepare for without practicle experience. I failed the exam twice before I passed and I was struggling so much to balance life with this exam prep. I was feeling guilty every minute I don't study, yet every time I started studying I was just exhausted and suffocated. Just the mere thought that I have a work-related exam ahead of me stressed me out to the point where this was all I could think about and I nearly became dysfunctional in my social life. I cried very often, couldn't sleep and was completeluly obsessed with the exam an the feeling of guilt and panic, I just wanted it to be gone.
Despite the anxious mess I was, I somehow managed to get pregnant and now with my baby on the way, I currently have 2 exams ahead of me. Again. The worst part is that the preparation for both which my manager signed me up for overlaps and I just can't study for both exams at once. I can feel that I'm immediately going back to that dark place where all I can think about is exam prep, doing my best to pass and fear failing because that would mean I'd have to do it all over again. I'm panicking. The problem is, being 6 months pregnant I have the added pressure of having to pass both exams before I go on mat. leave.
There is so much more at stake for me now bause of my baby's health and I really can't go back there in my complete obsession and incapability to manage my stress around those exams. They will always be part of this career path and if I don't take measures I'll lead myself to a burnout for sure.
Please, share if you have similar experiences and how you manage. I would be grateful for any tips on stress management. 🙏

Call me crazy, but as far as I’m aware, Tom hasn’t backed out of his Fox contract yet. And it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities to replace a hall of fame NFL player with the Goat of that sport. Brady’s contract is for calling NFL games from the broadcast booth, but I’m sure there would be a way to restructure so that he can come on and debate with Skip before that, and prepare his media personality. It would also keep viewers interested after a Shannon Sharpe departure until they find a permanent co-host.
I’m not saying it would be a permanent thing, or even the most likely thing to happen. But as far as Fox media representatives go, Tom would be available and also a fresh face to the tv show until it’s his time to start calling games. And you have to bet Skip would immediately sign off on this to work with his man crush.

Do you remember this podcast? It's a vivid memory I think about from time to time. I'll give you as much info as I can remember: it was a podcast that Brad, Jeff and Jason were on. They were talking about the Bing search engine not being as good as Google but Jeff chimes in saying "But it's good for porn" leaving poor Brad to visibly look a little shaken lol. And it was near the beginning of the podcast before they actually talk about games.

Have you ever noticed that most Nintendo games don't have options for adjusting volume levels? Maybe this is due to some in-house design philosophy, or maybe they just want their games to be presented as a uniform product for as many people as possible, but for me it can be frustrating as someone on the autism spectrum.
Sometimes I do not like the mix of the audio (Pikmin 3 is so cluttered and it's unfortunate because it obscures some of my favorite VG music of all time), or sometimes I get tired of the soundtrack but I like the audio feedback (BoTW after putting in near 100 hours), or even if someone else near me is listening to music while there's music going on in the game (really overstimulating). It just baffles me that they don't allow for this, as it has been pretty standard for over two decades.

Question for people who also sell/buy on DCS. When is the ideal time to post? When are you looking to buy on a regular basis? Also have you noticed the formatting failing recently? I used to be able to copy and paste my previous posts and just remove the ones I've sold. Now it bunches everything up and the bulletpoints no longer function. I had to bring an older version into a word proccessor. Just werid and frustrating.

Hi everyone. I was in a situationship with a man who is three years older than I. When we met, I was 17 and he was 20. We are currently 24 and 26. From the start, it was clear he did not want a relationship, but I kept interacting with him and we ended up hooking up on and off for 6 years. Two years ago I moved to the same city as him and the most toxic part of our “relationship” began. Here is an example of an incident : We agreed we shouldn’t hook up anymore. I reached out. We flirted. I wanted to see him in person instead of talking on the phone and I went to his house. I said “I can leave if you want me to”, and he said I could stay. We had sex twice. A week later, a common friend was throwing a party and he stormed out. In subsequent texts he was saying “you can’t get away with doing things like that”, “forget I exist”, “I don’t want you”. This attack, I see as a result of his inability to say “I didn’t like you showing up at my house that way. We shouldn’t have had sex. Please don’t do that again”. But the way he escalated and started demeaning me resulted in a lot of trauma. Incidents of this flavor of emotional intensity and actions/reactions happened many times over. He said he hated me being clingy, but a pattern was created of me saying “please” and then him eventually giving in (probably because of his own urges, weak boundaries, feelings over the years, combination). But it made me sick overtime. It was a massive form of self betrayal, one I continued, and one he enabled (probably without wanting to). At times, he pointed out “I want you to get better. It can’t be that you’re this way after all these years”. After 6 years of involvement, he said things like “I want you too” or “I miss you too” in December (I know it’s peanuts, but to me it was insane to hear).
In November, he took a video of me without my consent while we were hooking up. I expressed a lot of anger and pain over this - in unhealthy ways perhaps. It took him months to properly explain why he thought it was okay to do that. He expressed regret for not telling me the night of, and for creating a sense of secrecy that scared me. But also said things like “I was drunk and embarrased about what I did, I wanted to find a better time to discuss it with you”. I don’t even know if it makes sense that I was angry in the context of our dynamic: It felt like he saw me primarily as sex object, and I kept making myself into one to be near him. Each time I was consenting to my own erasure. I say this about objectification, because I asked him for us to do things outside of hooking up, and he said no - which he explained as him not wanting to fuel my hopes and also him feeling a lot of pressure from me.
We last saw each other in February, and he ended things, after months of me not being able to give him the space he needed. My failure to stop was a mix of me feeling too much pain and regret over everything that happened, and me not being okay without him around. Approx two weeks after ending things with me, he said he was dating someone new seriously. Unable to accept this end, I kept messaging him - sometimes to be around him, sometimes to express anger or pain about everything that transpired. He has expressed that he feels harassed by this behavior and wants it to stop. Sometimes saying “I won’t be around you unless you become normal again.” A week ago he said we can go for a long period of no contact and catch up at some future point. But I broke it again. And failed him and myself again.
I know my mistakes. I know the ways I self betrayed. The ways I crossed boundaries. The way I threatened the relationship when I wasn’t getting what I wanted. I know his mistakes and flaws too. Part of me feels like we were just too young (we are now 24 and 26), and that we recreated childhood dynamics. That we fell into this, and we have the power to change it and get better. Maybe eventually find healthy love together. But I am concerned holding onto this idea will hinder my own growth and healing. The things is, I love him - and I see all our issues clearly, and I want life to give me the chance to get to know this person away from this initial dynamic that was formed at such a vulnerable age. But during one of our arguments I confronted him about love, and he said “If you want to make me cruel and hear me say it, fine, I don’t love you.” I feel broken by both our mistakes, broken by his decision to be with someone new, broken by my own efforts, and I feel stupid for my own hope for something better in the future.
I don’t know where to go from here. I have stable relationships with all other people in my life, I am able to articulate my needs and stand up for myself. I have a job, I’m pursuing a master’s degree and I also have hobbies. I just feel so disappointed in myself for the mess all this is - and I don’t know how to stop the mental loops that keep happening. I feel dejected, both in terms of how I treated someone I loved - and what I’ve done to myself. Could I ever have a healthy dynamic with this person?
